Important: How To Install any kind of mods in ETS2/ATS

Hello everyone,

recently I received some dms with people struggling to install mods for ets2/ats, more specifically my map combos. So I decided to share with you the 3 things you need to know when installing mods for ets2/ats. If you know these 3 things you will never struggle to install mods again. (The process after installing a mod, but you struggle to make it visible in the mod manager ingame)

When installing a mod you will get some sort of file or archive.

The first option:

1. You receive a .scs file.
This is by far the easiest and most convenient one to download.
How To Activate it: Just Drag and Drop the .scs file into the mod folder of ets2/ats.

2. You receive a .rar or .zip archive. (This is the main thing people struggle with)
There are 2 different possibilities:

2.1 You receive a .rar or .zip with one or multiple .scs files inside
How To Activate it:
- Extract the .rar / .zip
- Now you should see the .scs file or files.
- Put this or these .scs file(s) into the mod folder of ets2/ats
- Now you can delete the old .rar or .zip, because you don't need it anymore

2.2 You receive a .rar or .zip with bunch of random folders and files inside (This is the most difficult thing people struggle with always)

How To Activate it:
- Just Drag and Drop the .rar or .zip into the mod folder of ets2/ats.
! Do not extract it, do not touch the inside, or do anything with it, just leave it as it is and drag & drop the .rar or .zip into the mod folder !

I hope this will fix your struggles.
Stay tuned for the next couple of weeks and the upcoming ETS2 1.50 as well as ATS 1.50 update. As soon the updates are available I will wait for the updated map mods and will create new map combos for them as soon as possible.
