Vectorized BDSP / LA / SV Pokémon Type Icons
Added 2022-09-15 06:32:22 +0000 UTCAfter a long time of research, it seems that the new Pokémon type icons used in BDSP, Legends Arceus, and Scarlet and Violet, cannot be found in SVG format, being the maximum resolution the ones taken via Switch screenshots.
That, obviously, has poor quality in order to be used in graphical content and on websites.
After some digging and trying out various apps and webs, I found one that converts PNGs to SVG with a high fidelity and I am very happy with the results.
Of course, they will have some imperfections, but they will be barely noticeable unless you zoom the SVG in a lot.
After using the online tool I found, I had to remove the background and some artefacts to clean them up.
I will now convert them to a glyphs font using IconMoon, so they will be part of the Pokedex of the redesigned website.
I am sharing them with you, as well, in case you want to use them.
PS: The site I used is called pngtosvg.com and it offered much better results than any other tool, including Adobe Illustrator.
