Development Update April 2023

A lot has been happening since the last time I posted here.
First of all I want to say thank you to all our new patrons and our 3 new developers that are joining the efforts to bring new and faster updates to the website.
What's going on in the project internals?
- The spritesheet generator has been rewritten in Typescript. We are collaborating with pokesprite and the Delta pokedex project to bring you the option to see the Gen 9 Pokémon in Sw-Sh 2D menu sprites style.
- We are working internally on a new admin/cms for the dataset (hosted in github.com/itsjavi/supereffective-assets), so it can be maintained more easily and provide updates more quickly
- We are working on getting rid of Contentful as our CMS for the news pages, to use markdown (MDX) files instead. This way all developers can contribute more easily and we will have more flexibility on how pages and articles will look like.
- Exciting new changes will come soon to the pokedex and box organization system
Important releases and changes will still be communicated in our Discord and Twitter.
