About the pillow
Some of you may have seen me working on this in streams - I've been picking at it for a little bit, and now I'm ready to share it with all of you :D
This is a mixture between a business venture and a regular commission. What you see here is someone's personal character, after I was approached for a custom body pillow design. However, when the art is complete, I'll be making an edited version - different markings or lingerie, but still a collie - which will be up for sale!
I did say I wanted to get into merch this year, haha. Guess I'm getting my wish.
The back view will have lingerie, too. The layer's just turned off in this image.
I've never done something like this, but I've just about figured out where and how I will be selling it. As I work on the art, I'm also deciding what perks I can add, if any. Perhaps something like a sticker/mini print included with pre-orders? A limited edition version? I'll make an announcement later on, once I settle on some things!
If this goes well, I will definitely look into doing more pillow designs, too. This one was a commission, but maybe in the future Patreon will help me decide on designs.
About the art
I am REALLY happy with how this is coming out, oh man.
This project requires a frankly enormous canvas (nearly 20k pixels tall!), way bigger than anything I've ever worked with, so I was worried that would impact the quality of the art, or at least make sketching more difficult... thankfully that has not been the case. If anything, it's encouraged me to really take my time and hammer out the proportions and anatomy before moving forward, in a good way.
I also realized that, honestly, there is no better excuse to draw boob gravity than a pillowcase. People compliment the hips and breasts that I draw, so I feel like this will be pretty well received, haha.
