Mule Buck

The last bit of art from the suggestion-box this month! MoltenGold asked to see some deer bucks, and once again SpeFides asked to see some more realistic anthro anatomy. Hopefully this fits the bill! :D
I chose a mule deer because they're my buddy Skott's favorite. Later, I decided on paper birch trees, magpies, and - though it's not visible right now - emerald stones, since they all happen in roughly the same location in North America. I felt the location being present all throughout the drawing was a nice easter egg!
On top of that, since magpies are another important thing to Skott, this piece doubles as a goofy love letter to my bro (hi bro <3)
This is going to be a full piece, and I feel really really good about it. I have a TON of progress shots saved, so I'll have a hell of a gif for $3+ patrons sooner or later.
For now, I just wanted to share the refined sketch!
