I modeled him after a red squirrel. Partially because they're cute, partially because he's blue and it amused me, haha. I added a quote and his catch phrase, for uh, authenticity.
Girly boys are something I love, but never draw, and that's a shame! This really reminded me how much fun they can be, so I'm gonna try and do some more in the future :D Maybe in lacy lingerie...
I also really like how this came out. More experimenting with this color style, and I think I'm finally nailing down what's working and what isn't! This time I noticed that I was struggling with my brushes a ton; a lot o them are too soft or too hard, so I'm working against them instead of with them, but I have some ideas for how I can tweak them! I also want to explore different levels of finish with my sketch, and different styles of sketching, too. Next attempt will have more textured, pencil-like lines!
