$250 goal = MET! Info on coming changes!

So many things have already happened this month, and it's only the 7th! Just the other day I was contacted for a project that I can't refuse; the end of the year is coming up, and I need to prepare for that; and I have a bunch of responsibilities that need my attention now more than ever. Still working on fixing up my schedule so I can draw more often and more reliably, too.. but those are their own posts for another time! Today is about what I can do for you guys :)

So I hit my goal... and then realized that I'm not as prepared as I thought I was, haha.You all kind of snuck up on me. At the time of writing, I'm only JUST at the goal, but after fluctuating for a little while, I'm gonna just consider it met, and get moving.

That said, I think if I tried to do everything in one go, right now, I would be doing you a disservice. Instead, I'm going to split the changes across this month and next.

In November, you'll get the Patreon Archive and bonus art at $1 - these are easy for me to implement, so there's no reason to keep them from you!

In December is when we'll start the monthly polls, and publish the art reward tiers, since those will take a bit more effort on my end.

To expand on two of those...

Patreon Archive and Monthly Round-Ups

At the end of this month, we'll get a mega round-up. I'll take everything I've posted this year, and instead of messaging it to $5 patrons directly, I'll post it to the feed. The very first one will be available to all patrons, period, as a thank you for everything so far! After that, they'll go back to being only for $5 patrons.

Posting round-ups to the feed will be a good quality of life change, I think - it's a little easier for me, and also means that $5 patrons will be able to browse rewards from before they pledged.

I've also decided that high-res files will be IN the monthly round-ups, rather than me posting each one immediately and individually to the feed. I'm going to be seriously upping my output in the coming weeks, which would mean a lot of extra posts to write, and spam you with!This also keeps the round-ups relevant, because they'll have something new in them.

Instead, things will look like this: throughout the month, all my finished and bonus art will be posted at $1, and any process stuff will be posted at $3. At the end of the month, I'll make a round-up of everything, and any high-res files will be in there.

Art reward tiers

I've made more round of changes to these.

First off, I need to up the price of this tier. Instead of a $25 tier with a drawing every other month, or $50 pledged, I've doubled them - $50 per month, and a drawing every $100 pledged.

I tried to find a way to keep it lower, but after looking at the commitment they'd be, how they compared to prices I charge outside of Patreon, and some other factors, I realized I had underestimated the whole idea, and it just wasn't feasible to keep them where they were. I would rather change them before they're live, than have to shut them down later because of my mistake!

Secondly, I'm going to implement something of a time limit on these! This is a smaller change. A few artists who offer art rewards say they struggle with the tier being constantly sold out, so I'm adding a 6 month cap on consecutive pledges. After your third drawing, I'll ask people to edit or cancel their pledge for a while (and they can come back after two months), just so someone else has a chance to pledge at that level :)

A few people have contacted me saying they were looking forward to this tier; If you were one of them, I apologize if these changes mean it's no longer something you can afford to do. Maybe in the future I'll findanother option for that price point.

As the goal says, there will still be two slots available for this tier! No changes there.

Closer to December, I'll make a post letting everyone know when they'll be live - patrons will get to know ahead of time.

Lastly

First, I've gone and changed my tier descriptions to be clearer, and reflect all this new stuff :)

I'll be switching my Patreon to pay up front sometime in the next month or two, but I haven't 100% decided yet. I'll let you know before I do!

Patreon is also going to be implementing a change to how I can distribute posts. I'll be able to post to specific tiers, rather than specific price points. This is to give me a bit more control, and also to make it easier not to spam my higher-tier patrons. This will impact people who pledge and don't choose a tier, but I've checked, and I don't have anyone doing that! I've also already been trying to cut down on spam, since I know no one likes it.

So these changes shouldn't impact us very much at all, but you can still read them here, if you're curious!
