Trying to figure out how to color again. I really want to do more color work for you guys (plus I have a few in my commission queue), but after doing mostly sketches for about a year, I never feel 100% comfortable going further. Time to practice!
So far I'm keeping it simple; as few colors/markings as possible, and keeping the rendering/detail as isolated to the focal point as I can. If it looks bare, the markings will help a lot with making it look finished. Less is more.

By the way, this month's poll is live as of earlier today! I didn't think the second option would do nearly as well as it has, but I think that's just because I'm shy about feral stuff still. I feel a little silly, but it's a learning experience, and it gives me ideas for the future!
