New tiers in November!

Hey!

It's been a busy month, but I've been cooking up some changes and upgrades in the meantime! Let's get straight into it.

VIP tiers

This is something I've been meaning to add since I hit my first goal early this year, it just got put it on hold when my original plan no longer fit how I wanted to run my page. The other day, I realized that I was trying to do too much with this too quickly.... which, yeah, sounds like something I would do.

I'm gonna start simple - the VIP tiers will be $15 per month, for all previous rewards (art, discord, the high res archive, etc), plus

• A 10% commission discount
• A special role in my server
• Your name on my Patreon page and Stream overlay

I have ideas for how to add to this tier, but for now they're more of a vanity thing, and I feel okay with that! They're supposed to be an "if you want" kind of thing, anyway. If you want to support me a bit extra, if you want to show off a little.

10 slots at this tier will be available in November! If they fill up, I'll add more later.

Sponsor tiers - Reworked!

I mentioned a rework was for my sponsor tier was coming a few weeks ago. What I've been doing has just not been meshing with me. In the past I planned to make it more expensive for a shorter duration, but, after some thinking, I'd like to go in the opposite direction.

This is the system I have now

• $75 per month
• 4-month sponsorship
• 5"7" drawings - one at 2 months ($150 in pledges), and one at 4 months ($300 in pledges)
• Limited prompt

What I'd like to do instead

• $50 per month
• 6-month sponsorship
• 8.5"x11" drawing - one at the end of the 6 months ($300 in pledges)
• Full prompt

The new reward would be a single-character line drawing, like this (nsfw). No color or extra characters. Props are okay.

At the end of the sponsorship, I'll contact you and we'll figure out details for the drawing, and then I'll do the art.

You get all the other perks from the lower tiers, too, of course. All of this will be outlined in the description for the tier itself.

Pros

• It's closer to how I enjoy working. When I'm drawing for others, I love to do more finished work to showcase it. With the old system, not only did I have to limit the detail in the drawing (which I habitually failed to do, and that should have been my first clue), I can't involve you very much. This is less fun for both of us.
  
• More predictable rewards. I don't like offering very experimental stuff, so I'm much happier to offer a regular piece, so we both know what to expect! The 5"x7"s are fun, they'll just be saved for personal art. I have a lot of ideas for personal art that work great at this size.
  
• Lower price + longer duration = more slots. The new system will be simpler to manage, so I can up the limit of this tier! I'll open 2 slots in November, and then 2 each month after that for a little while. This way, my workload doesn't explode 6 months from now, and slots will open up again more regularly, giving new people a chance to sponsor me.

I'm much more excited about this version because of how it fits into my community-based Patreon.

The ideal sponsor is someone who's been pledged for a bit and feels familiar with my work, and was already planning to pledge for the next 6 months anyway. Someone who's in the Discord and feels invested in me, but also wants and can afford to do more to support me.

In that way, it's a lot like the VIP tier - the art at the end is my way of saying thank you for that ?

Cons

The biggest con is that 6 months is just a long time. I did consider doing $100/mo for 3 months, but I just don't want a tier that high.

The duration is fixed - you don't get more art, or get it faster, by pledging more than $50 per month - and the reward is also only at the end of it. The old system worked this way, too, you just got art more frequently.

Considering that, if you're just looking to commission me, this tier probably isn't worth it to you. Although public openings are still rare for me, waiting for one will probably be much higher value - simpler process, faster turnaround, and options for things like second characters, color, etc.
