Patreon + personal Update

TLDR: Going to continue streaming less personal work, and going to be doing fewer impromptu work projects between the larger events.
-------
Hey everyone! Been thinking about writing this up for a bit since it's more personal, but since this is also something that affects the patreon I'm going for it to set better expectations.

I've been dealing with some slow burnout for the last maybe year or so? Hard to say exactly when it started lol. But what has been certain is that arts been less enjoyable for me the past month in particular, and that's been starting to severely impact how long it takes me to draw and I intend to cut this off before it begins to really affect my ability too.

Realistically the best option is to take a long break from drawing for work, but that's not an option for me so I'm going for the next best thing. I'm going to be making a much clearer distinction between art that's "work" and art that's "leisure".

So, what this means in short is that I'm going to continue to stream less personal artwork, and I'm going to do fewer impromptu work projects when I'm in between the larger ones and the busts. So as best to preserve my sanity and will to draw, period.

I genuinely haven't felt like I've had a true moment to myself for almost a year when it comes to settling in on drawing my own characters or doing world building for Jobslimes and so on. It's felt like even my own personal sketches are held to the same scrutiny as paid commissions, and it's really sapped the joy out of making and sharing these things. The last couple weeks or so where I've started putting these above efforts in to practice gave me time to doodle my dudes in ways that were just for me, so it feels like it's working well if I can keep that habit! : D
