Oooh I need to add!!!!! Intimate cuddling with a friend? Where they lay on top of you with your legs intertwined and their head on your chest?? And you fall asleep like that?? Maybe with you petting their hair too because the repetitive motion is just nice to do?? While holding HANDS???!!!! That’s some good shit. Highly recommend. 10/10. Would probably be made better with kisses, but I can’t be too picky.

2022-04-08 01:39:46 +0000 UTCI fuckin kneeeew the ~oooh mami~ was comin I knew it!!! Ah but in terms of sensitive parts my inner upper arms are!! So so sensitive! That and my collarbone. Hmm I wish my friends were the type to share kisses, I feel like I’m missing out :’c really grateful you share these rambles crunch, it’s so relaxing to come home and listen to someone talk about their day and be soft and silly. If we’re sharing pet names in our respective languages, jaanu is such a sweet way to address your lover in urdu. It’s like you’re calling them your life or your soul. The word carries so much love! Have a lovely April everyone <3

2022-04-08 01:32:52 +0000 UTCalso also, came back to say good luck with your move crunch, you got this~~
2022-04-06 00:31:13 +0000 UTCawww, happy to hear that it brought you nice memories 😊 also seems like every family member can be a kotek if you try hard enough xd
2022-04-05 19:27:39 +0000 UTCOh my gosh yes!! Both kotku and myszko have definitely been used in my family for children, not by my mom to me but i have distinct recollection of my favorite ciocia using it when talking to my cousins, one of those cousins has a daughter of her own and i think she still uses those terms when speaking Polish to her. Wow, this just brings some really nice childhood memories to mind, thanks for that 😊

2022-04-05 18:25:56 +0000 UTCwe do love our diminutives, don't we? 😅 another fun fact: in the polish language we are supposed to use the vocative form of a name when we address a person, but in recent years we've been too lazy to do it and just use the nominative case the vocative form, while still correct, is becoming less and less popular (linguists are v. sad about it) EXCEPT in formal situations/correspondence, some profanities, and also… petnames/terms of affection! (e.g. the word i used above, kotku, is vocative, whereas it's nominative form is kotek). i definitely think that vocative makes those words sound more sweet and endearing (although some ppl say that when it's mixed with a diminutive, it can sound a bit infantilising as well) also you definitely should use vocative with honorifics or when addressing your superiors. it's just a polite thing to do. like doctor for example, or professor… i'll see myself out xd sorry for the offtop language lesson!😅 👩🏫 anyway, petnames! they're fun!
2022-04-05 17:52:03 +0000 UTCcześć cześć :D definitely agree that it could be a form of endearment for children, i think "myszko" (small mouse) could be another example of a word that can be used in both ways :)
2022-04-05 17:44:48 +0000 UTCalso, all pet names are great I love them all and I want them all the time thank you
2022-04-05 10:34:48 +0000 UTCI'm a little laaaate, what a cute little ramble, loved the sweet sleepy cosy energy 🥰 butts: are great, end of.. daydreaming? yes, always. veganism: I've been vegan for almost 7 years and thankfully I'm in a privileged position to do so, I understand everyone is different and it's not an option for some. I've found it so easy, mainly because I never ate meat growing up (it grossed me out) but it's so great you are becoming more mindful about these choices 😊 I don't have a great attitude towards smoking (mostly because I've seen how it can negatively affect people close to me ((and also I agree the smell lingers, yuck)) ) I used to smoke socially to be 'cool' or fit in but I wouldn't go near a cigarette these days. I am extremely sensitive to touch and tend to shy away from it, but it can be so nice. Thank you for these great rambles I love them so much ♡
2022-04-05 10:32:17 +0000 UTCSeeing goldenslumber's comment above made me reflect on my first language - Polish - regarding pet names. Something i like about the Polish language is how many regular names or words for people can become petnames and kind of add a level of closeness. How even my own name can become more of a pet name, even though it turns into a longer word, which makes it feel softer and more special somehow when said and heard. I recall my grandmother would always say "Kajunia" to me instead of just Kaja (j's in Polish are pronounced like y's in english for those who may not know). Even the word for grandmother which is babcia can become babunia which feels much softer when said. I know there are similarities between that and words like granny or gran in English, and peoples names here too can be altered into nicknames, but even though English has been my primary language for years, that Polish way of making those little changes seems so much more pleasant to me. Maybe it's just because that was my first language 🤔 🤷🏼♀️. Not sure if my explanation made sense especially since it's typed out and you can't hear the pronunciation of the words, but just really wanted to share that, hope you all don't mind.

2022-04-04 21:42:20 +0000 UTCWait wait we have another polish person in our little community? Hi! Or rather "cześć" 😊 my polish is a bit rusty these days so i forgot all about it but i do really like "kotek" as a pet name, it would more directly translate to "kitten" in english i think but it's probably a more common pet name in poland than kitten is here. Parents even use it as a pet name for their children often (at least in my experience they did 😊). I have memories of hearing someone say "kotku" or "kotuniu".

2022-04-04 21:23:12 +0000 UTCYes. Butts. I like looking at butts. And I like my friends' butts. And I like poking my friends' butts. Yes to all butts 🍑👀 That's all from me for this ramble lol. Good luck finding a new place! Sounds so stressful, and it sucks that you have to move out so suddenly. Moving house is always a pain. Take care of yourself Crunchy!! ❤️

2022-04-04 03:23:11 +0000 UTCfunny - I have to look for a roommate as at the end of the month my current roommate moves out, and you, Crunch, are in need for a new place to live… coincidence? i think not! but actually looking for a roommate is a bit weird when you think about it. like, if it's not your friend then you're going to share an apartment with a total stranger lol hope your apartment hunt goes well! i've never actually smoked, i really don't like the smell. in the previous place i lived in my downstairs neighbours would buy the cheapest&most stinky brands and then smoke on their balcony. i had to close my windows, because the smell was awful i tried veganuary this year! well, more like half-veganuary, because I forgot about it at the beginning of the year, so i started it like two weeks into january 😅 i tried some simple recipes for lunch and dinner, but I had a problem with breakfasts. i don't really like oatmeal and I'm really lazy in the morning so i usually just make a ham&cheese sandwich, which is not very vegan as for pet names, the animal-related ones are kinda funny 😆 for example in polish we say "kotku" which is a word that literally means "small cat", but as a pet name it's more along the way of "sugar" or "sweet-thing", i think it sounds kinda cute 😊
2022-04-04 00:04:12 +0000 UTC@V Aww that's no fun though! I want to see your perfect already-flipped self ❤️

2022-04-03 23:37:25 +0000 UTCI baked the crispy on the edge, chewy in the middle type this weekend and I wish I could share with y’all cause they are so good but I made so many!

2022-04-03 23:35:23 +0000 UTC@_S The most fun is the ECG and fluorography. Actually, nothing special. Take a Xray and just flip it.
2022-04-03 22:55:32 +0000 UTC@V Oh that's cool!! Have never seen it real life before. Wish I could take your Xray (it's what I do 😅) but yes you'd also give me a nightmare freak out lol

2022-04-03 22:46:11 +0000 UTC@_S Yes. It's fun to watch young doctors when I forget to mention it.
2022-04-03 22:26:24 +0000 UTC@V mirror, as in your organs are flipped left/right? Situs Inversus? 👀
_S
2022-04-03 22:24:17 +0000 UTCThe second most annoying question is related to the fact that I have mirror organs. If I were paid a dollar every time I hear a joke like "Do you have your knees where your lungs are and your lungs are where your knees are?" I would be richer than Trump.
2022-04-03 21:07:17 +0000 UTCBtw, I don’t know how things are with this abroad, but we have long begun to take large photographs on packs of cigarettes with all kinds of diseases that smoking causes. From photographs of affected lungs, rotten teeth, to stillbirth. At the checkout, we usually joke "do you have a pack of rotten teeth?" "no, only lung cancer remained" "well, let's get it." Or at work we often joke like "today we spoil the liver or teeth?"
2022-04-03 20:51:17 +0000 UTC(although there are many) so relatable .. Landlords don't like pets here either. And the ones who allow them want "pet rent".
2022-04-03 20:50:14 +0000 UTCCrunchy I wish I could respond to anything you said beyond chocolate chip cookies, but this ramble gave me a case of the cosy naps. If the cookies are store bought, I like the really thin crisp ones. If I’m making them myself, I want fat chewy ones. Thanks for the warm and cosy vibes as always
2022-04-03 20:42:08 +0000 UTC@Dubose, yes. I spent my entire youth in the company of guys. They competed to see who could make smoke rings better. I won. @Mary, meh, shit happens. People are different. I love animals. Probably even too much.
2022-04-03 20:41:54 +0000 UTCYou do you, V! And I'm sorry you had that experience with renting. Cats are awesome!
2022-04-03 20:34:06 +0000 UTCSmoke rings?! PLS. You are too cool.
2022-04-03 20:33:57 +0000 UTCAnyway, good luck with the change, sunshine.
2022-04-03 20:30:09 +0000 UTCI remember when we just moved from one city to another, it was difficult to find an apartment, because we had a cat. Not many landlords are willing to take tenants with animals. An agent whom my mother told to look for an apartment for us while we were in another city ... In general, she found us an apartment at the last moment and did not tell us about the cat. The hostess did not kick us out, but gave us only a week to find a new apartment. Or, we could stay but get rid of the cat. Then I could not restrain myself and asked "would you put your daughter to sleep if your housing was taken away from you?" Fortunately, my long tongue also helped us find another apartment and the owners are not against animals, they are dog lovers themselves. One of the most annoying questions in my life (although there are many) is "why do you smoke?". I'm setting a fucking ginos record for how many people will ask me that. Everything in our life is a game of lottery. Or Russian roulette, if you like. Someone gets a winning combination, and someone gets a bullet. You never know what a decision will lead to. Even smoking. But I smoke, I like it. I like to feel the aftertaste of tobacco on my tongue, I like to make rings. I like that I have an excuse to run away from the workplace for 10 minutes to smoke. Do you want to smoke? Forward. Any doubts? Then don't take it. Everything is simple. Excuse me, I've been drawn to philosophical speeches all day today.
2022-04-03 20:27:37 +0000 UTCHope you are doing as well as you're able Solar ❤
2022-04-03 20:13:57 +0000 UTCOhhhh, yes. My love is such a lovely pet name. And also PET name, lol. I call my cat that. 🥰
2022-04-03 20:13:14 +0000 UTCNot equipped right now to ramble as i often do, but I like that you're promoting this kind of interaction~

2022-04-03 20:07:04 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since the last robust meow! Pet names (odd segue): well, "good girl" gives me a shot of adrenaline. I also love the kind of affirmative tenderness like "beautiful" "you wonderful thing~" just a silly and familiar vibe that touches on easing one's insecurities. Also! Other languages 😩👌 there's something particularly intimate about it, using one's native languages. Unrelated, the most beautiful pet name I've ever heard is "mi vida" ... like, I dream of one day feeling that kind of love.
