@cosmic I'm a fan of schedules too. Not knowing what's to come is torment to anxious minds. Even if it's just audios. I'm having the same issue with notifications. But yesterday actually got one. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

Going back to Acedia's idea of pillowtalk being part of that sleepy haze, when you go to sleep or wake up with someone, that kind of feels like a shared secret in and of itself. You're COMPLETELY unguarded and vulnerable in those moments in ways that you're not during any other part of your day. Here to echo the others: pillowtalk doesn’t require sex (or can precede it), whereas aftercare definitely comes after. Pillowtalk can be a form of aftercare, but their Venn diagram is far from a circle. I think it’s important to recognize that it’s not just BDSM scenes that require aftercare. It’s not exclusively a dom/sub thing, it’s a taking care of your partner (and yourself) thing, even if that’s just sweet cuddles or a snack.

oh yes that was how my lens notifications were like as well, and then within the last week or so i just stopped receiving them altogether even though i didn't change the notification settings. patreon is... you know what i'll be nice today lol, it's a decent enough platform to support creators but definitely not without it's issues

Patreon’s whole lens system could use work… from my experience I get an email 10 min after the first one of a cycle is posted, if there’s another within that 24hr period I get nothing. All that to say pls don’t mind us all creeping lenses as part of a daily routine.

I really like how you and all described the difference between pillowtalk and aftercare. Agreeing fully here but with simpler words, I always saw pillowtalk as a comforting and intimate time between two people to just talk, whereas with aftercare it's getting care after the act, as the words itself describe it. And chaotic comments? Here? Is he sure? 🤡

Chaos comments? Why, whatever do you mean? 😇 I'm not well versed in the ways of the nsfw community at all, but my instinctive definitions of pillowtalk vs. aftercare feel different from yours. In my mind, pillowtalk evokes that sweet feeling of intimacy, whether or not sex is involved. Being physically close, not necessarily in bed, maybe face to face, cuddling, having those kind of quiet, intimate talks that you wouldn't have with just anyone else. Being vulnerable with each other. Pillow talk does not immediately have sexual connotations for me. Aftercare does, though. And not necessarily in a BDSM context, but any sex. Aftercare feels like more of an action word after the ACT of some sort of sex. You're not just talking, you are actively caring for someone, making sure they had a good experience, winding down, discussing whatever, etc. It feels like there are more layers to it and it's more of a conscious effort. That's not very concise, but it's more of a feeling in my brain and hard to articulate the differences.

Or a time for minor threats like "stop hogging the covers or I'll rub my cold feet on you to warm them up." Lol. But it does basically mean the same sometimes. Idk. That's just my take.
