So jealous of free college in other countries. It's so over priced here it's ridiculous. And impossible to do without getting predatory loans. We have pell grants for low income but it's not enough. I had my own privilege in that area with scholarships and grants but I could still only get a 2 year degree without signing up for loans or military. It's complicated. So yeah, in America, the younger fresh out of highschool kids will blow off classes but most people realize how much they're paying for it and usually pay attention and are serious about it But degrees are more a testimony to a multi year commitment than a real acknowledgement of knowledge or skill. Like general knowledge and basic principles, yeah but a person who made all A's and a person who made all C's gets the same degree at graduation. Imagining a guy doing absolutely pornographic moans over a vanilla milkshake would probably just make me want one too honestly. " Waiter! Crunch. 😊 Your voice always makes me smile. It's so nice to hear you. So much of what you said was relatable. Forging your own path separate from others' expectations, having disconnected moments where you're like, wtf am I even doing here?! Yeah. I get it. I'm proud of you for continuing to chase what makes you happy, whatever that turns out to be. It's so incredibly hard, but it's going to be worth it. 🤍 "American" tap water is such a crapshoot. There are a few places known for delicious tap water but generally speaking, city water that's been treated is so gross. I live in the country and have well water which is great, and I take my own with me when I go into town for work. Hi, hello, fear/aversion of being known right here. 🙋‍♀️For me I think it's a combination of being a hardcore introvert but also being super curious about the world around me. Those one-time anonymous stranger conversations are so fun. But yeah, don't act familiar with me next time or I'm running away. 😂 I love those close, long time relationships where you feel deeply known and can truly be yourself without fear, but... the in between time going from stranger to close friend. Or people who remain in that in-between zone. Well. I'd rather be strung up by my toenails. "Like, I don't wanna see them." Yep. 😂 It's vulnerable and risky and... *weird face* The good friends I have now are either people I've known from childhood, or those who have just magically "clicked" from the very first moment. People are hard. And once again, I think you live inside my brain. Hearing about you being snappy as TA Crunch is fun. It's interesting how we all have our "serious" work personas and then our regular selves. Or that's how I think about it, anyway. Sometimes it feels like putting on a costume. Different versions of ourselves for different things. Thank you for checking in. Crunchy! The Cromptchman! Crunchmeister! It feels really good to hear from you, and happy to hear that you were having such a cosy time recording this update. Late night introspection, oof the feels right there. Especially when it comes to trying to decide on what you want to do in life, what you wish to accomplish versus what the people around you claim they want you to achieve. It can feel restricting, so to have the ability to lay down your own foundation, set forth your own path and be happy with it despite its challenges and criticisms is liberating. I wish you nothing but the best in your travels, and I do hope that whatever comes your way is the path you feel good in. It feels great to hear you're at peace with your travels, but when you go back to Denmark... celebrate those birthdays, meet your friends, enjoy that danish tap water, but please please *please* give Albert a nice big warm hug, from you and from all of us. And maybe give him a small pumpkin as a nice souvenir, or if possible a tiny hat~ Nawt the kitchen sharp tragedies, oi oi oi dude 😱 my hands and arms (mainly one arm) have slight nicks and marks from the many careless and distracting years of cooking, yard work, and forest explorations. But the main physical examples I receive from my wandering brain are the bruises I get on my legs from accidentally bumping them on doors and tables and park benches. I'm literally in the clouds, but my legs refuse to follow and get hurt in the process. A bit of an inconvenience, but it's a good reminder that I'm still here in the moment and should appreciate all the simple yet wonderful things we have around us (for me, that would be bruise-less legs). Your sighs and moans when you scratch and eat and stretch... there's no complaining on this end. In fact to practice not doing it, you might have to eat and stretch and scratch and get some shoulder rubs and stuff to see if you really can control yourself, for science 👀 I'll get the fries. "Be gentle with yourself" *BONK* I'm sorry but as equally as I mentally felt that slight pain, I couldn't help but laugh there! And with that, I thank you for this sweet update.
