I thought we were gonna see a kitten, but no, she's off commiting potential arson in the kitchen. Abrupt ending, but cat and fire safety comes first. Body language and tone helps a lot with figuring out what someone's saying across languages. Charade like hand motions if you're really desperate. But also patience. I had a 'fun' experience one time while working at the casino. A very agitated Mexican couple ran to me for help. And they spoke absolutely no English. Them:"Tú hablas español?!" Me:"Uh,. . .no." Which led to an awkward pause from all 3 of us. We might've had someone of staff who spoke it, but I wasn't thinking at the time. But usually if a guest is that desperate it was because their ticket got stuck when they cashed out or something else went wrong with the machine. So, I did my best to pantomime "ticket?" and they got all excited again and led me to the machine they were on. And sure enough when we got the machine open it had jammed when printing, and we quickly got it sorted out. But looking forward to all the cute cat pictures, reddit audios, and/or more videos 👀.

Crunchy 🥺😂 I know that sudden flustery feeling of having to end something and all the thoughts pouring out at once! 💜 I love this format and I love even the idea of le petit chat causing trouble on purpose (since you were able to intercept her of course). It's so nice to see that you're doing well and that you're happy and enjoying your time there. My partner's first language is French so I've been trying to learn it also. I am nowhere close to having enough words to be useful. When I'm abroad, I always want to try out what I know of the local language, but most people speak so much more English that I assume it's more of a hassle for them if I pick my way through their language. Like if I went back to CPH, I have to think it would just be annoying if I tried to use my little bits of Danish rather than just speaking English so that we can all go on our way. But then I never use it and it's a terrible cycle 😕🤷‍♀️ Okay I have baking to do, but bonne nuit, Crunchy, sleep well, and thank you for the lovely update 💜🌱💜

Okay, how do you do that? Yesterday I was literally thinking about how it's been a hot minute since I last saw your coffee-making video, and how much I missed the video format. And today you post this. Are you spying on my thoughts again? 🤔 This is such a sweet update! Gets me thinking about languages in general, how a language can stay stuck in our brains but being in a position where that language isn't used for a certain period of time leaves us with the inability to process the information back out. Reminds me of my time in grade school when I was immersed in English and had forgotten how to speak Spanish with my family. Took a while to relearn it, but eventually I got there with enough practice. I'm happy to know your time in France so far has been a pleasant one, even with a tricky feline. I can tell your French is improving, and that's amazing! Will have my ears peeled for those audios of yours, and as always stay safe meow meow 💙
