YouTube is being a cruel mistress, and I will spend my weekend going back into a couple of the segments, particularly the segments for Shrek 2 and 3, and remove most of the movie footage used, because it is really rubbing YouTube the wrong way.
SO! Video for you!! Please watch, comment, and enjoy, and then get ready to leave comments and enjoy all over again on (lord willing) Monday, when a less supplementary footage-heavy version gets lovingly placed onto Youtube. (Also lemme know what you think of the title, I've been tossing it back and forth in my brain and I'm not sure if it settles quite right!)

I just wanted to come to this 11 month old video to say that I feel like Puss in Boots being Shrek's advisor might be a vague nod to one story where Puss in Boots gets a peasant turned into a king? Maybe?

I never got to watch these movies as a child but I've grown to love them mostly through their memeification™ so imagine my surprise when Shrek Retold was discussed lmao I did also watch both of the Puss In Boots movies (not The Adventures of Puss In Boots (2018) I fear) in preparation for this video and I had pretty much the same reaction to Mama Bear :')

I had no interest in Shrek the Musical, but from that summary that seems to have been a mistake. And I'm very glad my girls came for a cuddle during the tragic abandonment parts of the Puss in Boots section. Definitely needed them for parts of that as they're rescues and I need them to know I love them.
