Star Trek: The Original Series - "Court Martial" Full Reaction!

Just about all of my books are digital now. Technology, especially social media, over the last 10 years has shown us how divided we really are. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. We need to know the truth about where everybody stands before we can move forward with a solution. As an engineer, I know that the fear of artificial intelligence is something that the defense industry likes to use to distract people from more important things. All of the advancements we see now in AI that everyone is afraid of are things that engineers in the defense industry have been using for about 20 years. They are only now being released for commercial use to the general public. Stop worrying about AI and spend more time worrying about taking better care of the people around you, especially the less fortunate.

More likely the jettison button would be at the helm or navigation position.

"What in the Sailor Moon Is That!" Ok, that was funny.

I think the daughter forgave Kirk because the video footage showed that he didn't necessarily kill her father out of malice. Rather, she saw it may have been an accident. It wasn't well explained, however. Obviously the one who put the jettison pod button under the red alert button is to blame LOL. I think the episode should have opened with the ion storm, IMO. Show us what actually happened, then do the trial. Not have something happen off-screen then spend the rest of the episode dwelling on it.

You wanted to know when we had a episode I didn't love....this is one. :) For me, this is a 'meh' episode -- I don't hate it, but I find it slow moving, confusing in parts, and not that interesting, although the matter of 'human vs computer' and the outcome of Finney is a great topic. Also details of the plot really bother me -- like, why would the Jettison Pod button be right NEXT to the Red Alert button? Bones was mentioned in future episodes as being a bit of a 'ladies man' himself, with his 'Southern charm' and 'Doctor's touch'. :) This is the first episode where I've heard the word 'Starfleet' mentioned, although no mention of the Federation itself. Also, this is the second of three episodes where Rand was written in the script but they had to use someone else.

Despite what we are learning about UAP and the future of space travel, the original Star Trek still stands strong for its commentary on human nature and human evolution. The acting is still very unique, creative, and iconic.
