Sorry for the lull in devlogs, but I took a week break and then started working on the script, but just saying I wrote some stuff isn't the most interesting thing.

New Addition 1: Started working on the script ✍️

I have all of the script done except for the sex scene dialogue. This chapter will have a bit of lore/plot and then some cute moments with character 2 and their triad. I'm pretty excited to write this chapter because I feel like there aren't a lot of games/stories with polyamorous relationships and that is a real shame.

New Addition 2: Started working on some new backgrounds and character sprites 🎨

I haven't had to draw a new background in a bit, and I forgot how time-consuming it is! And this chapter has 2 new backgrounds, so it took way longer than I thought.

We have a little crime scene outside the club:

With a new character: The Angel.

What I had in mind for this character is that they are kind of like a vengeful angel, or an angel of justice, who punishes those who go against the word of the in-game God. God has been missing, however, so the angels have become more bloodthirsty than usual.

Then I also drew character 2's bedroom.

To make a background, I first make a very rough sketch of where I want everything to go (yes, it looks very messy):

Then I draw the lineart and block in some base colors (this is the stage where I look at the background and think it looks super ugly and that I should give up, lol):

Lastly, I add shading, details, and change the color of some of the lineart:

Changing the color of the lineart so that it isn't just all black really helps to soften and pull together the overall look of the room. I also add lighting from windows/lamps/etc here. Things like particle effects are added later in the game engine.

Holidays always get a bit busy for me, but I will do my best to get a good amount of work done on the game every week.
