The Strongest Sorcerer, Chapter 49: "Spending Money to Find Love~"

Class 1-F.

“Everyone, how was your weekend?”

Standing at the podium, Gojo Satoru looked as energetic as ever, his tone upbeat and carefree.

“Did you find your true love? Or perhaps, did you spend money to find love? If you spent money, let me remind you to use protection—Gojo-sensei is looking out for you~”

Ga-ga-ga—

The sound of metaphorical crows echoed through the classroom.

The students stared at him with black lines forming on their foreheads.

What the hell? Spending money to find love? Sensei, we’re just high school students! Where would we even get the money?!

Though when it came to finding love, well… hehe~.

While they couldn’t handle the eccentricity of their homeroom teacher, the students were intrigued by Gojo’s appearance today.

His iconic jacket and blindfold were gone, replaced by sunglasses.

Some students had thought he wore the blindfold to cover scars near his eyes, but to their surprise, his eyes were perfectly fine—and astonishingly beautiful. His snowy white eyelashes framed a pair of stunning azure-blue eyes. Combined with his already handsome face, he was basically the epitome of perfection.

Stare—Xn

“Ahh, why are you all staring at me like that? I know, I know, your teacher is a certified hottie, but please, don’t keep staring—it’s making me shy~”

Gojo even acted shy, lowering his head and fidgeting dramatically.

Gag—

Yep, no matter how handsome he was, his personality stayed the same.

“Alright, alright. Before we begin the morning reading session, we have two new students joining us today!”

With that, Gojo turned toward the door and called out.

“Natsukawa-san, Kitagawa-san, please come in!”

Two new students?

One of them must be Kitagawa Marin, the girl who’d been hospitalized after a car accident. But who was the other one?

All eyes in the classroom focused on the door.

Swish—

The door slid open.

Two stunning figures stepped in.

“Ohhh—Xn!”

The boys in the class collectively gasped in delight, unable to contain themselves.

No way! Are these two really going to be our classmates?

That gyaru with golden hair is gorgeous! She’s exactly my type for a girlfriend!

And the silver-haired girl? She’s so delicate and exquisite, like a doll. Does she have foreign blood?

The two girls walked to the blackboard, taking the chalk Gojo handed them, and wrote their names.

“Hello, everyone. My name is Kitagawa Marin. I was hospitalized recently due to a car accident and couldn’t meet you all earlier. I hope we can get along this year!”

Marin introduced herself cheerfully, her radiant smile lighting up the room.

With her outgoing personality and charming looks, it wouldn’t be long before she formed her own circle of friends. After all, high schoolers loved hanging out with people like her.

“Very nice, very nice.”

Gojo clapped enthusiastically.

The students followed suit, applauding warmly. A few boys even clapped with such vigor that they looked downright silly, their grins stretching ear to ear.

“Hello, everyone. My name is Natsukawa Masuzu. I recently returned from abroad and transferred to Sobu High. I look forward to spending the next year with you all.”

Masuzu’s soft, gentle voice was as pleasant as ever.

The applause erupted again, with the same few boys clapping the hardest, their faces filled with enthusiasm.

“Alright, since introductions are done, let your handsome teacher assign you seats!”

Gojo rubbed his chin, surveying the room.

There were still several empty desks in the classroom, so finding seats for the two girls was no problem.

“Gojo-sensei, please let Kitagawa-san and Natsukawa-san sit near me! There’s an open seat right behind me and to my left!”

“No, no! Sensei, I’ve got open seats near me!”

“Shut up, Toyohara! I sit right next to you—there’s no open seat, you liar!”

“Oh? Then why don’t you move?”

“You son of a—”

The boys who had clapped the hardest were now bickering loudly, while others shyly raised their hands, their eyes filled with hope.

“Alright, alright, settle down.”

Gojo pressed his hands down, gesturing for quiet.

The boys immediately fell silent.

“You two will sit in front of Misaki-san,” Gojo said, pointing to the seats near the windows on the right side of the classroom.

At the beginning of the school year, Misaki Mei’s gloomy demeanor had driven away the students originally seated near her. Those desks were still vacant, making them the perfect spot for the two new arrivals.

Of course, Gojo also hoped the presence of Marin and Masuzu might help Misaki open up a bit.

“Yes, Gojo-sensei,” the two girls replied in unison.

They picked up their bags and moved to their assigned seats.

Misaki Mei, meanwhile, continued gazing out the window, completely unaffected by the earlier commotion.

“Misaki-san, I look forward to working with you,” Marin said softly after taking her seat.

“…Likewise,” Misaki replied, her expression as emotionless as ever.

Masuzu didn’t say anything. She simply arranged her belongings, maintaining her usual grace.

She could sense that Misaki was difficult to approach. Everything about her radiated a “Do not disturb” vibe.

Why bother warming up to a cold shoulder? Masuzu thought, unwilling to make the effort.

From the podium, Gojo watched the interaction between the three girls, feeling like he was running out of patience.

“Alright, everyone, take out your language textbooks. As for Kitagawa-san and Natsukawa-san, I’ll take you to collect your books later. For now, share with Misaki-san.”

To be continued…
