Since there were no Japanese language classes scheduled for the morning, Gojo Satoru found himself enjoying a rare moment of leisure.
However, inspired by Shizuka Hiratsuka's usual antics, he decided to summon Misaki Mei to the office for a chat.
Watching the pale girl keep her head lowered the entire time, Gojo exaggerated a pained expression.
“Misaki-san, is your teacher so ugly that you don’t even dare to look at me?”
Silence.
Five seconds later, Mei slowly raised her head.
Her skin was pale, like white wax, almost giving the impression that she was suffering from a severe illness.
“No, sensei, you’re very handsome.”
Her voice was devoid of any emotion.
“Thank you for the compliment,” Gojo replied, his grin broadening.
Crossing his arms and propping one leg over the other, he shifted to a more relaxed position.
“Let’s get straight to the point, Misaki-san. I’m guessing your left eye lets you see supernatural beings from time to time, doesn’t it?”
And just like that, he laid it all out.
Since the start of the semester, Gojo’s Six Eyes had already observed the unusual flow of cursed energy in Mei’s left eye. It was covered with a white patch, brimming with cursed energy—an ability that likely allowed her to see spirits or even ghosts.
(This ability wasn’t quite the same as Gojo’s Six Eyes, but still noteworthy.)
Gojo had a hunch this ability was one of the reasons for her aloof and isolated demeanor, making her seem out of place among her peers.
Mei’s eyes wavered slightly. Staring at Gojo’s smile, she frowned just a little.
“Sensei, you...?”
“I’m a Jujutsu Sorcerer—or you could say, an Onmyoji,” Gojo explained casually.
Onmyoji?
Mei was startled.
She had always thought her abnormal sight was unique in this world. But now, it turned out there were sorcerers and Onmyoji too?
“Oh, right. Here, this is for you.”
Gojo reached into his drawer and pulled out a protective charm.
“A charm?”
Instinctively, Mei accepted the charm, her expression filled with confusion.
“Just think of it as a teacher’s way of protecting his student. Wherever you go, always keep it with you, okay?”
Gojo gave her a playful wink, his grin as mischievous as ever.
Mei didn’t say a word but quietly nodded and slipped the charm into her pocket.
After a brief conversation about her family, the bell signaling the next class rang. Gojo sent his cute student on her way.
From their chat, he could sense that Mei was burdened by many emotional knots. These knots seemed to be the root cause of her quiet, withdrawn nature. Resolving such deep-seated issues wouldn’t be easy.
Noon.
Gojo strolled leisurely through the empty corridors of Sobu High, a lollipop dangling from his lips.
The office had become too boring, especially since Shizuka had gone out to lunch with Chihiro Sengoku. With nothing better to do, Gojo decided to wander around and explore the school.
The deeper he went into the school, the more he could faintly hear a beautiful piano melody floating through the air.
“Hm?”
Curious, Gojo followed the sound until he arrived at the piano room.
Inside, he saw the source of the music—a young woman with a pure, elegant beauty, her fingers dancing across the keys.
Leaning against the doorframe, Gojo silently listened.
For someone as multi-talented as him, playing the piano was, of course, no challenge.
But halfway through the piece, the woman stopped playing. She turned her head toward the door and, upon seeing Gojo, a flash of admiration flickered in her eyes before she masked it with a practiced smile.
“Oh my, sir, eavesdropping isn’t a very polite habit, you know.”
“Ah, my bad, my bad. I’ll leave right away.”
Though he apologized, Gojo’s tone carried no sincerity as he turned to walk away.
“Wait a moment,” the woman called out, stopping him.
“Sir, you’ve been listening for quite a while. You must know music, right?”
“Nope. Goodbye.”
Without even looking back, Gojo left decisively.
He had already recognized who she was.
Brownish hair, a sweet and innocent appearance, and skilled at playing the piano—wasn’t she the whore Akane?
Ah, bitch Akane~ Oh, I'm scared.
Watching Gojo Satoru leave, bitch Akane, ahem, it should be Akane Minagawa stared after him for a few moments. Then, she slowly extended her tongue, licking her lipstick-coated lower lip with an intrigued expression.

“You’ve piqued my interest, just a little.”
Akane was Sobu High’s piano teacher, responsible for teaching music to the third-year C, D, and E classes.
Seeing someone casually wandering around the school without a uniform, she quickly deduced that Gojo must be the new teacher.
Back in the office.
When Gojo returned, he found Shizuka Hiratsuka and Chihiro Sengoku had just returned from their lunch outing.
“Shizukaaa~”
The tall man bent over dramatically and threw himself into Shizuka's arms, pretending to sob.
“I missed you sooo much after just half an hour!”
“Where do you even learn this nonsense?”
Shizuka laughed at his theatrics.
“Ah, that’s not important.”
Gojo playfully burrowed his head into her shoulder.
His nuzzling made Shizuka's face flush slightly. She lightly patted his back, as if to warn him, “Chihiro’s here—don’t go overboard.”
But Gojo couldn’t care less.
After seeing Akane Minagawa earlier, only Shizuka’s embrace could give him any comfort.
As far as Gojo was concerned, Shizuka was still the best.
Forget about Akane Minagawa—she could crawl away for all he cared.
It was like choosing between a plump, juicy fruit and a rotten one. Which would any normal person pick? The choice was obvious.
