"Allen!"
Thaedus clutched Allen's corpse tightly, tears streaming from his eyes.
Then Thaedus raised his head, staring at Eden as he roared through the telepathic communicator, "Child, Allen wasn't carrying any genetic virus. The real virus is right here with me. I sent him to Earth to negotiate. Why did you have to kill him?"
"You're disgusting. You exploited someone's kindness. I'm not wasting my time explaining things to you. You don't deserve it."
Eden's super brain instantly saw through Thaedus's pathetic scheme.
Allen was probably Thaedus's decoy. This bastard had likely planned to use Allen to draw fire while he himself flew to the other side of Earth in a faster-than-light ship to deploy the virus.
In other words, Allen died for nothing because of that idiot Thaedus.
"I'll avenge Allen! I'll show you the power of an elite Viltrumite!"
With those words, Thaedus charged at Eden.
Then Thaedus saw an afterimage flash across his neck. The world spun around him, and once he was floating in the vacuum, he saw a headless body suspended before him.
"Damn it." Thaedus stared at that familiar body. The Viltrumites' powerful regenerative abilities meant that even without his body, his brain could remain conscious for a considerable time.
Unfortunately, Eden gave Thaedus no chance to think further. He directly incinerated Thaedus's brain with heat vision, along with Allen's corpse.
"That damned virus?" Before Eden destroyed Thaedus's body, he spotted a glass vial floating in space. "Disappear." Eden narrowed his eyes, grabbed the glass vial, and flew toward the sun.
Eden wasn't concerned about destroying the thing. He'd only worry if he didn't throw it into the sun's core.
Below the ship.
The other members of the Coalition of Planets watched in stunned silence as Eden carried the genetic virus toward the sun.
One of them said incredulously, "Isn't he afraid of the sun? Didn't Thaedus tell us that the intelligent atoms in a Viltrumite's body would be penetrated by the sun's high-energy particles, destroying the intelligent atoms' structural arrangement?"
"Maybe he's committing suicide for the sake of his race?"
"Regardless of whether he's a Viltrumite or not, he's someone worthy of our respect."
On the ship, the Coalition of Planets' councilors spoke in such terms.
Inside the sun.
"Oh... This feels amazing. It's like coming home."
Eden swore he'd never felt the cells in his body so comfortable before.
The sun that would be lethal to Viltrumites was essentially a charging station for Eden, the son of Superman.
If he didn't have so many things to worry about, Eden really wanted to train here for tens of thousands of years, staying hidden until he reached his golden form before emerging. Then even if his father Clark truly had a problem, he wouldn't be afraid.
At least, that's what Eden thought.
Clark just smiled without saying anything.
On Earth.
"A genetic virus?"
Clark narrowed his eyes. He seemed to be hearing about such a thing for the first time. If this thing actually detonated on Earth and spread through the atmosphere, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Though the thing would likely have no effect on him or Eden, for his wife Nolanne, it would definitely be a fatal weakness.
"Too dangerous. I absolutely cannot allow such a thing to exist."
With those words, Clark made his decision. His figure immediately vanished from where he stood.
About a second later.
Clark returned to Nolanne's side, wearing a faint smile. "Good. All genetic viruses across every timeline have been erased. Now Nolanne is safe."
"Hm?"
"Clark, where did you just go?"
Nolanne turned to look at Clark. She had the distinct feeling that Clark had just gone somewhere.
"I didn't go anywhere," Clark smiled.
"Is that so?" Nolanne nodded slightly. She didn't dwell on it. Right now she was busy notifying all Viltrumites across Earth to prepare for negotiations with the Coalition of Planets, or a fight to the death.
At the sun.
The virus Eden had brought into the sun's core melted away, its glass-like outer shell completely disintegrating before reaching the core.
As for the genetic virus that floated out, it couldn't withstand the high temperatures at all. And even if it could withstand the heat and enter Eden's body, it would be instantly refined by his Kryptonian cells.
"Phew." After completing all this, Eden flew out of the sun, his entire body wreathed in flames.
"Damn it! He isn't afraid of the sun at all! Fire! Fire!"
The Coalition of Planets warship that had been tracking Eden's movements was immediately terrified upon discovering Eden wasn't afraid of the sun. They prepared to use their planet-destroying cannon to deal with Eden.
The planet-destroying cannon on this Coalition of Planets warship was different from the one Eden had captured earlier.
This was the Coalition of Planets' ultimate weapon, capable of even destroying the Solar Disk.
"..." Eden looked at the Coalition of Planets warship preparing to fire at him and helplessly used heat vision to slice the entire warship in half.
"Why do people always insist on courting death?" Eden couldn't understand.
With that thought, Eden returned to Earth.
It was just after Eden returned to Earth that he saw Thragg leading a group of Viltrumites flying out of the atmosphere.
Eden looked at Thragg and asked in confusion, "What are you all doing?"
"Naturally, we're going to eliminate that traitor Thaedus!" Thragg declared.
Eden looked at Thragg and said flatly, "Too slow, Thragg. You're too slow. Thaedus and the Coalition of Planets' warships have all been destroyed by me. Including that virus targeting Viltrumites."
"Ah." Thragg froze for a moment. He suddenly began to suspect that he'd been reading too much, which had made his reactions less sharp than before.
I'm uninstalling Webnovel as soon as I get back, Thragg swore to himself.
The truth was that Thragg reinstalled it after half an hour. How satisfying!
After Eden left, the group of Viltrumites looked at Thragg and asked, "What should we do next?"
"Dismissed," Thragg declared.
"Roger that!" The group of Viltrumites breathed a slight sigh of relief. They were really afraid Thragg would have second thoughts and decide to compete with Nolanne for supremacy.
If that happened, they'd have no choice but to beat Thragg up for the sake of justice, for love, for Earth and Earth's culture.
Initially, Nolanne had predicted these Viltrumites would be completely corrupted by Earth's culture in less than a month.
She'd been absolutely right. Within just three weeks, every single one of them had abandoned Viltrumite ideals entirely. Their legendary iron will? It crumbled faster than she'd even expected.
On Earth.
Kent Residence.
"Mother, do we need to take action against the Coalition of Planets? To put it simply, we should just kill them all to prevent them from seeking revenge later. Earth isn't a place for them to do whatever they want."
Eden wasn't the type to stop halfway. He firmly believed in eliminating threats completely, or there'd be endless problems later.
"Child. Why do I feel like you're more Viltrumite than a Viltrumite?"
Nolanne looked at her son's ruthless demeanor, her eye twitching.
"We don't need to worry much about the Coalition of Planets. They're nothing but a scattered mess."
"It's precisely because of Thaedus, that Viltrumite traitor, that the Coalition of Planets united in the first place."
"After losing Thaedus as their leader, the Coalition of Planets will quickly collapse due to internal corruption, unequal distribution of spoils, and power struggles."
Nolanne had never taken the Coalition of Planets seriously.
Indeed, none of the Viltrumites had ever considered the Coalition of Planets worth their attention.
Just because a bunch of ants band together, do they really think they can kill gods?
The only reason ants can kill gods is because other gods are secretly helping them. Nothing more.
Now the god helping the ants was dead.
"Fine."
Seeing Nolanne say as much, Eden didn't press the matter further.
Global Defense Agency.
After Eden successfully returned, Cecil Stedman immediately held a global press conference. Before media from around the world, he announced loudly, "Everyone, Earth is completely safe now! The rabble of the Coalition of Planets have been utterly defeated by us! Long live Omni-Woman! Long live Superman!"
"Oh!"
Instantly, cheers erupted across the world. People everywhere celebrated Earth's victory with excitement and joy.
What Coalition of Planets? They weren't even worth mentioning.
For this reason, heads of state from around the world jointly declared a special three-day global holiday.
They called it Earth Victory Day.
Just as people around the world were celebrating non-stop.
The Defense Agency continued working overtime without rest.
Cecil crossed his arms behind his back and asked angrily, "We still can't trace the source of that camera?"
"The enemy's technology is several generations ahead of ours. In some areas, it's reached a level we simply can't comprehend," Robot said helplessly.
"Damn it!" Cecil pounded the table forcefully but could do nothing about it.
As for Eden, he returned home and continued his simulations.
Since Eden had already received the enemy's provocation and confirmed there was a threat from the multiverse, he had to continuously improve himself to deal with any potential threats.
Another week passed.
"Ten seconds." Eden's simulation ended. Now he could kill Emperor Mark in just ten seconds. Honestly, Eden still wasn't quite satisfied. But there was no helping it. Emperor Mark's head was too hard. From the moment Eden grabbed him to the moment he strangled him, it still took ten seconds.
Just as Eden began another simulation, suddenly golden portals opened one after another in the sky.
"Whoosh!" Accompanied by endless sounds of air being torn apart, strange individuals in bizarre outfits flew out from the portals one after another, laughing loudly. "Hahaha! We've finally arrived in that bastard's universe!"
"Kill his father!"
"Kill his entire family!"
"Kill everyone he knows!"
"We are..."
"...INVINCIBLE!"
That day, the sky was torn open, and wild laughter reverberated across the globe.
Above New York, Emperor Mark looked at the brain-like creature beside him and asked, "Why would you cooperate with us? There should be no reason for you to cooperate. You should hate us and want revenge."
"Why?" The completely insane Angstrom Levy laughed.
"Hahaha! Let them see Invincible! Let them fear Invincible! Let them hate Invincible!"
Only Angstrom Levy's final sentence went unspoken, hidden deep in his heart where he coldly smiled: Then let Eden eliminate all the Invincibles from every universe!
