I've had my issues with the writing of this one. I liked parts of this show, but I felt it lacked depth and nuance considering the themes they were trying to depict. However, that flag scene felt so meaningful and symbolic back then. I remember how everyone was talking about it, and a mainstream network like GMM having a show advocating for marriage equality made a lot of people feel hopeful. A couple of years later, Thailand passed the marriage equality bill as the first Southeast Asian country. Considering how huge BL is in Thailand, this felt like an organic change (that obviously should have happened sooner, but we take any win we can get) and I thought it was fascinating to see how media can have a positive influence on progress and be part of good change.
