I had heard many good things about that scene acting wise. I’m not thrilled about the fact that he knew shi de was drunk and still did that anyway, but the EMOTIONS. I understood, especially with their history and the pain between them, even though I would hate to be taken advantage of like that even with someone I love (unless we agree beforehand that this stuff is ok, in which case no one is taking advantage). But yeah, these actors deserve awards. They were phenomenal in this scene. I definitely heard before that the actor was REALLY drunk and he kinda regretted getting that drunk for the scene. But it made it extremely realistic and kudos to him for being able to act when drunk!

2025-04-07 18:47:53 +0000 UTCIt kind of bothered me that Shu Yi’s father had such a casual and cheerful personality… I was expecting a much more intimidating figure, especially considering he was the reason Shi De left Shu Yi for five whole years.
