Revamp The Undead Story | Episode 2

Punn is the one character I'm not feeling. I don't know if it's the actor or the way the character is written, but he is too laid back for me. For that reason, I'm not very interested in that character right now (maybe that will change). The vampire storylines are more interesting, and I love seeing Barcode in this role. He's doing a great job.

One of the things about this show that makes me giggle is Ramil's living situation. In far too many BLs, productions try to pass off hotel rooms at someone's home or dorm, so you often times see key card access, interior landline phones, and even (when they are super lazy) the hotels actually name plate outside of doorways. Here, you don't have that fourth wall break because he lives on the top floor of a hotel. They bank on the fact that in most vampire stories, the vampires are typically financially loaded so him living in a swanky hotel, in the penthouse no less, fits the aesthetic. On another note, as a big fan of vampire stories, I really thought (because of the trailer) that the comedy in this show would throw me off, but I was pleasantly surprised that is hasnt managed to do that. At least, not yet. I did roll my eyes, when they named the Mother of Demons Lilith, because... could that woman please get a break in stories like this? I would have been happy with them name dropping Carmilla or Cain, but poor Lilith's name has been used more times than I can count.

I'll keep on watching... The comments here are hilarious, I get them totally. It may not be the best show ever, but I'm still enjoying it. I actually do like Ramil's character - he is more than one note: he can be silly and quirky, but also serious when it matters, there is a depth of emotion when he talks about how sad he would be if his disciples/brothers were no longer together with him. He is loyal, strong, fights when he must but wants to spare humans. I liked seeing the flashback of how he was imprisoned, and I think there must be some backstory between Punn and Ramil which we haven't seen yet - I mean, Punn knew his name and there was that dream or vision about them together, so there has to be something... The biggest issue for me was that there is no exploration of how Punn is feeling and what he is going through. I can forgive everything else - I don't need much, but for a strong story, there should be more insight into the main couple. Hopefully, there will be more in the next episodes.
