Moving!

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well! I'm writing this one from my phone because we're in the middle of moving to the new house, so all of our stuff is packed up. I personally don't have a lot I can do at the moment - I've been having some knee pain the past few weeks, and I saw my doctor about it since it wasn't going away on its own. She diagnosed me with tendonitis in my right knee - not a huge deal, but I need to rest and care for it and it'll heal up eventually, so carrying boxes around isn't really something I should be doing right now. Shitty timing, but luckily we did hire a moving company for a lot of our stuff, and everyone else in the house has been very understanding and picking up the slack in my absence.

Anyway, as you've probably figured out already, with help from my CPA I was able to get my tax situation and the home loan sorted out. We got the closing date moved up by about a week, and we got the keys to the new home a few days ago! I'm now officially a homeowner, something I honestly never expected to be able to do. It still doesn't even feel real, but I'm sure it'll sink in once we've been living there for a bit. In any case, the move is going well and we'll hopefully be finished tonight. We'll be unpacking and settling in over the weekend, and I wanted to get this update out a day early so I can just focus on that.

As far as the game is concerned, the CPE team has been discussing our options moving forward. Development on the game has been ground to a halt for quite a while now - it's not just me that's been struggling - and after talking with my therapist, I'm realizing that there are many ways in which I've been doing a pretty subpar job as a leader. It's all a learning process though, so instead of dwelling on what I could've done better, we're focusing on the future, and will be making changes in our work habits and schedules to try and get the game back on track. I think we're all feeling the motivation coming back, and I have high hopes for the near future!

That's about it for now. It's been a real rollercoaster of a process, but things will finally be settling down and I can get a MUCH needed break from all the stress and anxiety of the past several months. We'll need a bit more time to settle in before development gets back to normal, so I can't say for sure yet if there will be an update next week, but we do plan on starting streams again as soon as we're able, and with any luck we'll be able to get the whole team to a better place than we've ever been in!
