Smaugust Day 1 - Blood - Process Video, PSD, Sketches

Hey everyone! Smaugust has officially started yesterday, and I have a prompt list that I'm gonna try my best to stick to (check it out on my insta if you haven't and consider participating because it's fun)!

Here's a narrated process video for the first dragon - the TL;DW of it is: If you try to overcomplicate your image, you'll most likely just wind up wasting your time trying so make it simple and clear again. Also, just kill off things that don't work well as early as possible to save yourself some grief.

When coming up with something based on a prompt (or just in general), starting with really obvious ideas and using association to branch out is a good way to brainstorm - for example - just looking up animals that feed on blood is a good start from which you can expand.
