Old Short/Test Youtube Animations: Video and Blender Downloads
Added 2018-04-12 22:41:54 +0000 UTCI didn't feel like some of my current Youtube uploads warranted being put in a $5 Patron post, so I'm releasing the files to a few of them as test video uploads. This post includes Be the Moon, Luna Inflation Animation (the Source Film Maker test video), and Simple Lina Animation.
Only download the .blend files if you want to mess around with the 3D models in Blender. You only need the .mp4 files if you just want to save and watch the videos themselves.
The other videos are available to $5 Patrons, as mentioned earlier. If you are currently on that tier, go here for the other videos: https://www.patreon.com/posts/18130139 . I've copy-pasted a few of the parts of the Blender file notes from that post for simplicity's sake.
Important Notes on Blender Files (Feel free to skip this if you're only here for the videos!):
- Be the Moon's Blender file does not include sound. This is because it was edited in post-rendering through video editing software, not rendered via Blender's audio output. Video editor files do not tend to pack up nicely, and would be gigantic even so, so I will not be providing them separately. I apologize, but the audio is in the rendered video file in this post. Obviously, Simple Lina Animation does not have sound, because the original video did not.
- The Luna SFM animation does not have source files. SFM videos are much, much more difficult to pack than even standard video editing files because Valve, and I have long since uninstalled SFM. I will not be providing these files, as I may not even have them anymore due to how Steam games and software uninstall. If I did, it would probably be less effort for me to re-make the animation anyway. Sorry about that!
- If prompted at the top of the screen on loading a file, select "reload trusted". You can set files to default to load trusted in User Preferences, and you can also load trusted from the Open dialog by checking the appropriate box on the lower left side of the dialog. Failing to do this may cause major or minor visual problems when previewing or rendering.
- I have no issue with you sharing the results of this or other renders of my files as long as you don't attribute it to yourself. Not that I can enforce that anyway, but I'd really appreciate it if you didn't make like a Youtube bot and pretend like you're me. However, please do share! It's free word-of-mouth in my favor, and I can't hog all this good stuff to myself!
Please leave a comment letting me know if I've screwed up any of the files, but I've tried to make sure they all work the first time. Thank you!
