Test Animations Reward Adjustment

I'll cut right to the point: I've decided to make it so that test animations become public after one month. I know a lot of you are here for those, and I get that a couple of you might not like this and feel ripped off or something.

Here's the thing, though: I was thinking about my Patreon and exposure, and I came the conclusion that having part of my unique content be perma-paywalled isn't exactly the best way to go about this, especially when it's the stuff that comes on a semi-regular basis. My regular videos have long gaps between them, and outside of my Twitter announcements, you don't see a whole lot come out of me outside of here. I like to encourage people to share things I post on here, but I think that's not enough, especially with the extra burden of re-uploading things to file hosting sites.

So, look at this way. If you're paying $3 for test animations, you still get them well before anyone else, so it's not pointless. A month is a pretty substantial amount of time to wait. Full animations will still be released on here one week before they appear on Youtube. For the time being, progress posts will remain Patreon-exclusive, ignoring the occasional Twitter posts providing small samples of their content. I may consider releasing full video source files after a month as well, but I consider the test animations a bigger priority because, as of now, they exist exclusively on Patreon, and I don't feel like hiding my smaller works from the world like that is very productive or helpful. I'm shooting myself and my fans in the foot by hiding them forever.

So, with all this in mind, I'm going to go ahead and release the first three test animations (up through Naga, even if it's a little early) publicly immediately. You cannot automatically make posts public after posting them without the Early Access option set, so I'll do the same for the shorter Youtube uploads post around May 12th, give or take a few days.

That's all I've got to say for now. More Deev this week, and a test animation if I have some extra time for it. Thanks guys, and I'll see you later!
