Animations + Patreon Rework

I've decided I'd like to try and focus on shorter animations. That doesn't mean DVa/Mercy is dead in the water. I just need to reassess my priorities here, because I really don't output enough content to be satisfied with myself, and I'm sure you're all as annoyed as I am with it. I'll continue with that project in bits and pieces as I see fit, but for now I'd like to focus on making more things so you guys don't have to wait a whole goddamn year for new videos every time. That's ridiculous, and I'm sorry for blue-ballsing you all like that. I'll try and be more open about the current status of things at the very least.

With all that said, I'd like to rework some components of my Patreon to work better with this idea.

Honestly, I haven't been carrying my weight in all this, or at least being open enough about what's going on in my life.  Sorry to keep you waiting in silence for so long. I'll try and make this better from here on out.

Sincerely,

RoboBro

Thanks Tom! Slowly, but surely. I'm really hoping my request for unemployment benefits will get approved. That'll buy me a lot more time to look. Either way, I'll be fine. I've got places to turn to for help regardless.

Thank you Brick, I appreciate your honesty. I was talking to a friend on Discord who said something similar, and it made me think that I really need to assess my priorities better, and strike a better balance in terms of workload. Dumping everything into one big project is a bit much, and it gets old to the point where it's tempting to just not work on anything at all. I've come to realize that that's not really benefiting anyone to do things that way, least of all myself. Especially if I'm "one of the best out there", I think my smaller efforts would be worthwhile if it means I make content more often instead of a bunch of empty promises. So thank you. I needed to hear that.

Thing is, you gave yourself a lot of pressure with how legitimately good your long videos are. Smaller projects are easier to put out and still leaving you time to breathe. Irl stuff got in your way and as a patron, it did annoy me a little bit but if you keep your workload smaller, you'll feel less pressure and therefore be more productive. You're thinking less of having to dish out content. I back your stuff because you're one of the best out there.

Obviously I’m looking forward to Mercy/DVA but the short previews I’ve seen (like the most recent one you did) have so much potential I don’t mind waiting longer for that if it means more animations. Hope the job search is going well
