World's End Inktober Thread!

Happy Halloween, Friends! Here is a collected thread of the #Inktober2021 challenge I did this month and originally posted on Instagram. I think this is the first Inktober where I participated every day.

As I mentioned on the last post: I had concerns at the beginning that taking on this challenge might be too much, that I'd feel burnt out with current work/life load. Quite the opposite this time; It got me into the world of Avery and Bob, and I found a lot of inspiration and character insight there.

Starting tomorrow I'm doing #NaNoWriMo for November, to get as much of #WorldsEndDetectiveAgency scripted as possible. My "script" is a bunch of rough storyboard thumbnails in a giant paper mock-up. I'm finding the tactile-ness of the mock-up very helpful in deciding on panel layouts and developing the story.

Enjoy, and see you Friday for another patron process post!

2021-11-01 04:23:24 +0000 UTCThanks! For the thinnest lines, I'm using a Pentel "hybrid technica" .3 mm. I love how thin it is! For most of my lines I use a Faber-Castell 199-S. And the thickest lines are a Sakura "pigma sensei" .6 mm.
