Jiaoxi Hot Spring is a sodium bicarbonate spring that is rich in chemical components such as sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and carbonate ions. It is a rare flat hot spring in Taiwan. This spring is clear and odorless. When it reaches the surface, it is about 58 degrees Celsius. After washing, it is smooth, soft and non-sticky. Because it is rich in minerals, it is good for your health whether you soak, bathe or drink it as mineral water after treatment. Extremely helpful. Going to Jiaoxi to soak in hot springs has become an important part of tourists' itinerary. Within a 1.2-kilometer radius of Jiaoxi Railway Station is the local hot spring area. Currently, there are nearly a hundred hotels, restaurants, and bathhouses here, forming a special scene of a "hot spring town."
礁溪溫泉屬於碳酸氫鈉泉，富含鈉、鎂、鈣、鉀、碳酸離子等化學成份，是臺灣少見的平地溫泉。此泉色清無臭，湧到地表時約為58度C，洗後光滑柔細不黏膩，由於富含礦物質，因此不論是浸泡、沐浴或經處理後成為礦泉水飲用，都對身體健康極有幫助。到礁溪泡溫泉，已成為旅客到此一遊的重要行程。在礁溪火車站方圓1.2公里的範圍內，為本地的溫泉區，目前這兒約有近百家的旅館、飯店、浴池，形成「溫泉鄉」的特殊景致。
