At the Gala~
Added 2017-05-15 00:42:49 +0000 UTCI could see her sitting there, shown in glimpses as I passed through the crowd, my champagne glass in hand.
It was a private event with a theme of "At first glance", with the invitation saying to bring gimmick or conversation starter. I didn't completely grasp what it meant, but being invited to an event of this caliber I just couldn't pass up.
Some came with masks, other painted their skin different colors, I think I even saw one nude person.
As for me I just wore heart shades, nothing too wild. Pretty sure I was cheating, but who was there to stop me.
She seemed quite comfortable in her surroundings, unlike me apparently. But I was draw to talk to her.
"How are you?" I asked.
"Fine, and you" she replied.
"Just out of my element a bit" I laughed.
"Yea you kind of have that aura about you" she smiled.
"So what's your gimmick, invitation said we all had to bring one"
"Hmm, well I could just tell you, but that's no fun. How about we play a little game to see if you can guess mine" she chuckled.
"Alright then" I smirked.
"Hmmm" I stared at her a bit looking to see what I could glance from her appearance to give me a clue.
But I was distracted by how soft and squeezable she looked. These were not thoughts that would help me come to decipher anything, but I thought them all the same.
"Let's see, may I have a look at your wristband?" I asked.
"Sure" she replied.
Taking her wrist in hand I looked over the golden band, but again my thoughts went to her softness. At second glance of the band I noticed an engraving, it was what seemed like a arrow and a circle.
"Amazing" I thought.
And then my glance turned to her thighs, and something began to stir in me. I think my blushing face gave it away.
"Have you figured it out Mr. sleuth?" she said with a sly look.
"Yes, I do think I have"
And we both began to have a laugh.
"Would you mind if I had the pleasure of your company for the rest of this evening" I asked.
"I'd be delighted, and if your up to it we can even play some more games" she replied with a smile.
"I think that can be arranged"
