Good afternoon moon babes! Summer solstice is finally here and I wanted to create a simmer pot to celebrate this energy and bring it into my home. I will likely take a solstice bath as well and lay offerings for my ancestors, the bath I will share below as well. I am not normally someone who celebrates the sabbots as it is not in my personal spiritual practice, but some (Samhain, Ostara, Midsummar) I like to celebrate when I have the spoons and resources to do so.
Today I wanted to celebrate this beautiful sabbot and energy by doing a few things! I did a white bath this morning ( I shared that recipe a few months ago on here if anyone wants to see that, it is something I like doing either before larger rituals or on a holiday/celebratoin day before more spiritual workings. It sets me up spatially to be protected yet open for the energies I plan to work with over that allowed time)
Next I plan on doing a simmer pot for the solstice followed by some time in the sun centering, then a ritual bath with an element of fire ( i'll prep 5-7 candles to my ritual bath) and that's all I have planned today! Once I have created the simmer pot at home I will update this post with pics, I just wanted to make sure this was up early!

The intentions I will be focusing on for this solstice and its energy are: Abundance, balance, beginnings, gratitude, inner power, sun energy, and new cycles. So I will make sure to keep this in mind for every activation and thing I do during that whole day and during my spellwork.

How To Cast:
For this I always try to reach for fresh elements, as it brings a fresher and brighter energy to your space and spell. You can use this simmer pot leftovers or portion a little bit of herbs to the side for a floor and door wash to bring in this Summer Solstice energy entirely throughout your home.
For the petition paper you will want to prep that by ripping all of the man made edges off of the sides, anoint all of the edges with a dot of altar or a summer solstice oil and begin writing your petition. When you are done write your name over the petition fully three times then add a few sunflower leaves into the middle, folding it shut towards yourself. Once the petition paper is ready burn it in a fireproof dish and save the ash. You will put this into your simmer pot later or at the base of candles later.
If you are going to be using the ash on candles I recommend you using yellow/orange/gold/white colored candles.
For those who are going to be doing the simmer pot gather all of your tools, cleanse your space, yourself, lay offerings to all of your spirits you work with ( I find this is something nice to do on holidays, making sure they have fresh water, liquor, herbs, candles, incense, anything else you normally give them. And then something else special, that might be a new candle, a food offering, a dance ect.) Cleanse your hands with a bit of fresh running water and a few calendula leaves and begin pouring your sun water into your pot.
While you are filling your pot with your sun water, thank the sun for offering its divine energy to you for this ritual and for this blessed holiday. Once your pot is filled up with charged sun water, begin taking your fresh flowers and pulling the pedals off, this is a perfect time to begin spelling your mix. Make prayers, will things to happen, and imbue your energy further into this spell with each pedal you rip off and place into the water. This will take time, allow yourself to ground and breathe through this energy as you take each flower in your hands. Add as many flowers and petals as you would like, saving the stems to the side for later.
Next begin activating and adding your dry herbs into your pot one by one, once all elements have been added to your simmer pot mix, turn on your heater/burner to medium heat and grab your spoon. Begin stirring and reciting the spell below, stir your simmer pot blend going clockwise, bringing the spell intentions and summer solstice energy towards you. Keep stirring and reciting the spell for a minimum of 3 minutes.
How To Make Sun Water:
Take a jar, cleansing tool, fresh water, and lid outside somewhere sunny and cleanse your jar fully. Once your jar is cleansed begin pouring your fresh water into the jar and pray with both the sun and clean water that the sun may imbue its divine energy into your water and that the water retain the memory and energy the sun is offering. Seal your jar shut and allow the sun to charge your water for as long as you would like.
*** For the spell I left it pretty”open” in the intent that it would be able to fit a LOT of your presumed intentions from this solstice, with that being said please change / add / swap anything or elements you would like to make this fit your practice. This holiday can be celebrated in ANY way you truly would like. So activate the herbs and imbue this mix with anything your heart desires and any outcome you prefer!***
