Vietnam is complete 🫑 - What's next?

Well as I sit here and contemplate everything this journey has entailed from a rooftop coffee shop in the bustling streets of Hanoi, I feel blessed to have been able to have the nerve and bravery to complete such a task.

3600kms from Bangkok, all the way through the rainy season in Vietnam is no easy task.

I am not quite sure how I feel about it all yet. There have been major highs and major lows that I have experienced before, but none other like those wet moments, soaked through, having to find a camp spot and cook food for the night.

Wet shoes for days, athlete's foot, wearing the same clothes, smelling truly awful, and feeling homeless a lot of the time.

What I can say about Vietnam is that despite my look and potential smell, its people have always been incredibly welcoming and friendly.

A country that not so long ago went through a war that was so destructive, you can still see the scars that remain, not only in the UXO, but the people who have been affected by the incessant use of agent-orange and the constant bombing that was unleashed during the long wars that raged here.

It's an interesting place full of paradoxes, which you'll learn about during the videos soon to be released.

For now, it's on to Bangkok to re-unite with my one and only love - Baby Sai, and to figure out the paperwork for the next leg of the journey that will see us traverse interesting Central Asian lands (but before maybe we'll have a stop in Malaysia, a country I have never been to).

I am excited for the journey ahead, but well aware of the costs that will entail and the long hours trying to figure out the logistics.

So, it's time to fly back to Bangkok and get sorted for what will be another, crazy, testing and wonderful adventure that I cannot wait to bring you all along for the ride.
