Right now we're waiting in purgatory
Added 2025-01-21 10:36:51 +0000 UTCI hope everyone is having a fantastic year so far! I've been in the trenches sorting some things out for the greater journey (as you'll all find out soon).
Turns out that I didn't have some documents I needed to pass into other countries, so I've had to make a short trip back to old Blighty (that's England) to obtain these. Although I already had a Thai driver's license, it appears that the one I'm on is unsuitable for travel overseas (you need a 5-year license, not a 2-year).
So basically after a lot of research and stressing, I found that the only possible way to get said license, was to become an English teacher, get the required permit, and wait 6 months until I could renew my pass (not exactly an option).
Turns out, it was easier (but a lot more expensive) to go home and get everything sorted. I got to spend Christmas with the family, which was a nice bonus, AND... I got to see my DOGS!!
Anyway, with all of that now out of the way, I'm waiting for my flight back, where I'll reunite with my love (Baby Sai), and then figure out where I'm shipping to. I'm considering Malaysia to Nepal, but unsure yet as I'm getting quotes from everyone and their dog.
This adventure has a lot more bureaucracy than I ever imagined, and I'm having a fun, but little bit stressful time figuring it all out.
I am committed to completing this challenge (or running out of money in the process).
Once I get back to it, I'm thinking about uploading more frequently to YouTube and keeping the movies for Patreon members only, but we'll see as the time goes on.
