A More Civilized Q&A - April 2022
Added 2022-04-27 10:01:01 +0000 UTCWelcome to the April 2022 episode of A More Civilized Q&A. We're back this time with your questions, inspired by the General Krell and Zygerria arcs! Topics include: what happened to Dogma after Umbara? Is Anakin a "Machines Guy"? What's up with video games in the Star Wars universe? And beyond our normal questions, we also arrive at a trio of incredible revelations: One involves a children's book. One involves a real life war zone. And one involves a forbidden love...

Nothing is more on the nose than Little Golden Books publishing both Lib-Resistance and "Alliance to Restore the Republic" propaganda

2022-05-04 12:34:23 +0000 UTCImagine if we got to see Anakin respond to the Krell fiasco afterwards and have the writers connect that to his paranoia about the Jedi in ROTS 😪

2022-04-29 08:26:50 +0000 UTCI would like the Umbara arc a lot better if it ever got referenced at all anytime later in the series. Having all this big stuff immediately ignored really soured me on it.

2022-04-29 03:34:12 +0000 UTCY'all need to stop looking at Dark Disciple and other Clone Wars related stuff. That is straight up spoilers.
2022-04-28 08:32:28 +0000 UTCYeah absolutely read Dark Disciple but don't do it *yet*. The best place to read it would be after the end of Season 6, otherwise you'll most likely spoil the show by reading it now.
2022-04-27 17:12:02 +0000 UTCOh, and one of the arcs that reached the animatic stage & two of the scripted but not yet animated arcs became the 12 episodes of the ultimately released Season 7. So according to Wookiepedia there are 4 episodes that got turned into a Darth Maul comic, 8 episodes that got turned into the Quinlan Voss book, 4 episodes that were just released as partially-animated versions online/on DVDs, 12 episodes that got turned into the official Season 7, and then some other fully scripted arcs that were never produced - included a Rex/R2D2 Top Gun homage, a Yoda + the Wookiees fighting on Kashyyyk arc & a Cad Bane/Boba Fett team up arc.

2022-04-27 14:51:12 +0000 UTCJust FYI - the Quinlan Voss thing is from a book and not the comics & you probably won’t read it for a while - it was originally scripted as two separate arcs of Clone Wars for the seasons that got cancelled before Disney+ brought it back. A bunch of those seasons had already been scripted - some of them had rough animatics done already which were released online as a treat to fans, some were turned into comics, and the two QV/Ventriss ones were turned into that novel by the author who wrote them for the TV show
