Yeah I definitely get the whole situation. Still have difficult time not being angry ๐ We agree she went through very messed up things and was at her breaking point. But when she decides to take it onto a kid who fully trusted and relyed on her, instead of taking literally any other decision (she was feeling that hatred for a while now) then I can't help but loose all my empathy there. I think what made me so angry was seeing Todoroki relying so much on her :/

2022-08-07 21:40:08 +0000 UTCI know todoroki mom is wrong for burning him but you have to look at it from her perspective. She was basically forced into a life she didnโt want. She was forced to marry Endeavor for her ice quirk, she was also forced to have kids with him against her will (Could be considered rape honestly) & on top of that she was getting beaten by him almost every single day of her life to the point he put her in the hospital. So while yes sheโs a shitty mom, she never had a choice in the matter lol. Its no wonder she snapped because when she looks at him, she sees Endeavor. A life like that has to lead to a severe case of mental trauma. Sheโs never had a choice in her life with anything. But the flashback showed that she can be a nice supportive mom, its just Endeavor whoโs messing everything up with his abusive nature. Todoroki knows this thatโs why he doesnโt hold any ill will towards her & has no problem using her Quirk. This was by far the best episode so far this season.
