Yeah I was thinking about that, it's a funny show so far. Like the whole premise, how the characters behave, etc is pretty laid back. But thinking about Denji and why his goals are so simple makes it quite sad. Can I ask what do you do for work? I always read the stories but have no idea what it is π But definitely seeing so much needs and being unable to help as much as you want is very hard and it is definitely a reality check
2023-01-06 22:08:56 +0000 UTCSeeing Denji being so happy for a simple bath and breakfast makes me feel guilty about complaining about anything, but it also makes me appreciate what I have more. There really are people who lack basic needs like that and unfortunately I deal with them all the time in my work. It's heartbreaking sometimes you can't do much to help them more, to keep them in a better path. Denji was so abused and impoverished and his only happiness was his love for Pochitaβ he doesn't know nor has the concept to aspire to "better" goals. It is not conceivable to him. So boobs it is for him. π I think that is part of the irreverent nature of the show, its spirit, it doesn't take it too seriously, but there is a dark humor that undermines what is normal too.
