I'm pretty sure every magic in FT has their own limits like for example later on it was explained that Brandish can't shrunk anyone who has stronger magic power than her because if she can then she's gonna be too op so I think that same goes for Dimaria she can use her times top magic but once she use it on a character like Zeref or Acnologia it's gonna be meaningless
