April in The Adventurer Tier: Anglo-Saxon Fyrdmen
Added 2025-03-22 11:06:16 +0000 UTCThis month in the Adventurer Tier, we keep expanding our historical range with a classic from the northern battlefields: the Anglo-Saxon Fyrdmen.
Weโre working on two separate units, reflecting the most common battlefield roles of these troops:
๐ธ A shieldwall unit, ready to form a tight defensive lineโarmed with spears, shieldsโฆ and more faith than actual discipline.
๐ธ A lighter unit, with javelins in hand, perfect for harassing the enemy from a distance and, when needed, retreating just as fast as they appeared.
To capture the feel of a hastily assembled militia, weโve played with different shield sizes, uneven gear, and very personal expressions. Some look like battle-worn veterans, others like they left their fields with whatever they could grab and a whole lot of courage.
Weโre still sculpting more, so this is just the beginning.

Este mes, en el tier Aventurero, seguimos ampliando nuestra gama histรณrica con un clรกsico de los campos de batalla del norte: los Fyrdmen anglosajones.
Estamos trabajando en dos unidades distintas, inspiradas en los usos mรกs comunes de estas tropas en combate:
๐ธ Una unidad cerrada, pensada para formar un pequeรฑo muro de escudos, defendiendo el frente con lanza, escudoโฆ y mรกs fe que disciplina.
๐ธ Otra mรกs ligera, con jabalinas al hombro, perfecta para hostigar al enemigo antes del choque y, si hace falta, salir corriendo igual de rรกpido que llegรณ.
Para transmitir esa esencia de milicia improvisada, hemos jugado con escudos de distintos tamaรฑos, armamento desigual y expresiones muy personales. Cada uno parece haber salido de su casa con lo que tenรญa a mano, pero dispuesto a plantar cara al invasor.
Seguimos esculpiendo mรกs, asรญ que esto es solo el principio.
