In college, Prismacolor marker rendering was something that was encouraged by my design professors. There was no right way to draw, of course, it wasn't an art class. What was important was conveying ideas, not drawing super pretty. There was a couple of students who got really good at marker rendering. Car guys, as I recall. Car design drawings is a whole thing. Like drawing horses. It has its own aesthetic. Anyway, I never got super comfortable with marker rendering. It was a nice way to add some quick extra depth to a sketch, but true marker rendering eluded me. Didn't Have Time For That. But something tells me, this might be my go to render brush. It's like the photoshop airbrush... but smoother? Blends better? Hard to explain exactly. But I like it. That's not to knock the Photoshop brushes. But I think I've spent so long learning to make do with the defaults that when I find brushes that have already been optimized... it's kinda wild.
