Death the Endless

Neil Gaiman is one of those authors that is so deeply influential that there's no way around it. Neverwhere was my first Gaiman book and I loved it so hard that it was very clearly the inspiration point for my comic Finder's Keepers. Ocean at the End of the Lane is one of the most poignant things I've ever read. But perhaps the most iconic Gaiman influence was when he depicted Death as a small waif of a punk rock goth girl.

I LOVE this! As a fan from when the first Sandman issue came out, this is amazing!

Richard F. Wallace

Very, has a full cast of actors and sound effects to really immerse you in to the world if you ever check out any others in the future I'd recommend starwars (red harvest, death troopers), impact winter, and helix station, the last 2 has game of thrones actors

I don’t often do audio books, but I seem to remember hearing it’s a good one!

Garth Graham

I never read his comics but his books "Good Omens" and "American Gods" were both engrossing and fascinating to me.

Me too. Finders Keepers was one of my earliest introductions to urban fantasy and I was hooked on the genre. It's still one of my favorites that I go back and re-read now and then and feel a little sad it ended. This piece makes me think how cool it would be to see Death and Death hanging out and swapping stories over some tea.

I have to mention the Sandman audiobooks - they are amazing. The cast do an incredible job of bringing the world to life.

Agreed on that front, one of my favorite scenes in the show was when dream confronted lucifer with the power of dreams in hell, badass, it did tone down the gore in the dinner compared to the book, you ever listen to the audible version?

Chuck Powers

I quite liked the show. I think it stayed solidly true to the original work (as best I remember) while making some edits to adapt it for a new medium and a new audience. It was one of the better adaptations I’ve seen. I’m looking forward to the next season assuming Netflix doesn’t fuck everything up.

Garth Graham

I haven’t read the comic adaptation, but I bet it’s great!

Garth Graham

Thank you for sticking with me all this time!

nice I listened to audibles sandman my self, loved the HOB GADLING and ORPHEUS stories, did you also check out the show, was was your take of it if you did?

Neverwhere is maybe my favorite Gaiman work. Have you read the graphic novel version? I feel like it's the one that does the story the most justice, because it can get into raucously weird visuals with no concern for a special effects budget.

Longwing

I loved that comic. The inspiration/association with Gaiman's style of modern fantasy made it an instant follow for me.

Longwing

Oh man. I have a tattoo of her.

Finder's Keepers! I haven't thought about that in years. That's where I started following your work, I think.
