General

Hey guys! I'm gonna finally try to write up actual blog posts for the visual novel, which has finalized as Two of Stars.  I'll post an update every Friday on Patreon (and then everywhere else on Sunday), that way I can keep y'all updated.  :)

(No logo as of yet... I need to look for a logo artist!)

Beta Testing & Demo

Once the demo is put together, I'll be on the lookout for any beta testers.  If anyone here is interested, feel free to message me either on Patreon or on Discord stating that you wanna beta for the demo!

And after getting and implementing feedback from beta testers, I'll first share the demo here on Patreon.  And shortly after that, I'll start a Kickstarter campaign to fund the rest of the game.  Can't wait for that...  :')

Writing

The writing for the demo portion is pretty much almost done!  It's... surprisingly longer than I expected, since written text on its own goes by much faster compared to reading for visual novels.

Here are the stats for the words & routes we have at the moment:

The prologue is about 12k words.

Krys's route for the demo is about 10k words.

Rhea's route for the demo is about 8k words.

Yuri's route for the demo is about 10k words.

Meaning a total of 40,000 words?  Which is a crazy amount...  I have no idea what's normal for a demo, hahaha.  Maybe we should trim it down a tad...

Art

So far, most of the character designs and sprites are done!

The romanceable characters for the demo are Krys, Rhea, and Yuri!

Outside of the small areas that I have to finish up for Lyn and Natya, there are 2 other characters that I need to design and draw, so I'm ALMOST DONE!  Beyond that, the main chunk of work I have left for the demo are finished expressions and drawing out the CGs.

I also don't know if I shared this last time, but we also have a ton of beautiful backgrounds done by advarcher, pictured below:

The astrology room is my favorite out of all of these!

Music

I recently got one musician on the project, but since I can't really afford to have all of the music made at the moment, they'll be working on main character themes that'll play for Krys, Rhea, and Yuri.

For all of the other tracks, we'll be using freeware music for the demo only.  Kickstarter will include funding for an original soundtrack for the visual novel, and all of the freeware tracks will be replaced in the final product.

Ending Notes

It's been a long time since I started this project, and it feels soooo nice to actually see the things put together into an actual program.  It's not completely done, but I'm very excited to share it with y'all when it's ready!  Thank you for being so patient with me. 💖
