in the original version of the trailer you don't hear malgus say "You were Decieved", it gives more context. because it was just "THE" SWtoR cinematic trailer back then

2024-06-09 02:51:30 +0000 UTCto answer your questions; the droid is in fact the same one from the game (if you play as a knight the droid becomes your droid and he tells you about this event), and the 'reason' why (*officially*) the lightsabers extinguish is because in canon a lightsaber is 'powered' (at least partially) by it's connection to both the force and it's wielder/maker so the need to be kept alight by the will of their Jedi or Sith master channeling to them and when the Jedi or Sith dies, nothing is keeping them going. there are some stories that tell of young acolytes struggling to keep their lightsaber lit because of this and the blades 'flickering' as a result. hope this helps clear that up a bit!

So I was damn well confused about when that seems to take place during the movies. Didn't even realize that Games and other such Spin-Offs could be not canon at all, telling their own stories. And later, when I found out it was a game I was soo excited ... and then I saw actual gameplay of it ... Yeah, at that young age I really didn't care about good stories or settings, only action and explosions and cool cutscenes! So the game never caught my interest and the only thing I know about it are the (very cool and well made) cinematics. It led to making me make up my own stories about what the bigger story was. Which was twice as hard bc back then I couldn't even understand english that well (not my native language) so no idea what they said haha. Really led to some wiiild stories ^^ But great reaction/breakdown, as always. Wasn't that much of a fan of the first one (regarding the cinematic, not your actual video of them), but especially this one is a favourite of mine, regarding SW Trailers. Speaking of, do you plan on doing other SW game trailers, like for example Force Unleashed I & II? At some point, I mean.
