What I've been working on this week - BTS

Check out the lens on this bad boi!! Have you seen anything like this before?

This is called a probe lens, to be specific it's the [Laowa 24mm f/14 2X Macro Probe]. A wide angle Macro lens. It allows you to get right up in there and because it's a semi wide angle lens, you can see the world whilst being really close to the subject.

I've also attached another image, not apart of my project as an example of what this lens can do. A lot of food commercials use this lens.

My Clients Project:

Bespoke Lego set made to show awareness of flood risks. Two homes showing the correct way and the not so correct way of dealing with flooding. This is a real issue within certain parts of the UK. This is being presented for an official release by Lego, that's the aim and that's my job to help with.

The only issue is I've been given the budget for a pair of underpants and a wish list from the client which would cost 50K plus. However, I do like a challenge and this is what me and my team offer clients. We problem solve.

This set has been featured on TV quite a bit and now it's my turn!!

Do you think he's over compensating for something...

This is not my image fella, just wanted to show you what this lens can do but my goodness you are correct!! You really have listened. Not only have you described what made this image/still good, you've also correctly told me where the audiences eye should go. A+

Love how you’ve lit that baker from behind and how you’ve used that bun as a foreground element but out of focus, so as to draw our eye to the cheeky bugger in the hat. See? I do listen to you. 😄

Lens depending on what model goes for around £1500 - £2500. The camera body aka Brain was around 20K-24K when we purchased it. You can get a pre-owned one now for under 10K. To give you an example of new. Just the monitor for the newer smaller cameras is £2,600 ex VAT. Our one at the time was over £1000. Pretty bonkers tbh.

What's the pricetag on that lens? How many thousands of dollars/euros/pounds? I used to sell computers and occasionally had to sell clients cameras too. I was always shocked at how expensive cameras, especially lenses, are at the professional level
