I went into this expecting a solid game but wasn't expecting such a cool movie if I'm being honest. This one really hit me in the feels for the 90s and I hope you guys don't miss this hang out session to an older title. What a blast and I can not wait to check out the next game. Let's hope it doesn't have sequel trouble but then again, that's more movies than games.

Shortly before Uncharted 4 (the last main title) was released i finally got my hands on the remastered trilogy and played uncharted for the first time. It was a heartwarming adventure. The characters are superb, the narrative is compelling and you really felt the evolution with every game. The sets became bigger and more grand, with the last 2 titles it got even more personal because we learn more about nate's past. But for me, the best title gotta be the second one, because the way the structered the story. But you will see :) Fun-Fact: Nathan Fillion did a fan-short-movie as Nathan Drake and in my humble opinion he did the character way more justice than tom holland. 2025-02-19 12:26:58 +0000 UTCOne thing that might be good to know is that Uncharted 1-3 were remastered and those versions look pretty similar to each other in terms of graphics. So don’t expect giant leaps in that aspect for the first 3 games. Uncharted 4 on the other hand… 😃

2025-02-19 08:55:22 +0000 UTCIt's funny that after having played Uncharted 4 that in my head all the older uncharted games also looked as good only for reality to kick in and show dated the prior titles actually look. Still absolutely stunning for the time they came out but yeah it's sadly always the issue with the realistic graphics they'll date much quicker than any stylized art direction. Nonetheless super exited for you to see the whole series! So many good characters in this franchise.

2025-02-19 02:12:02 +0000 UTCprolly best they cut most of the gameplay, even at the time it was ok but kind of a slog, way, way too much combat, real rudimentary encounter design (this was naughty dog’s first 3rd person cover shooter) and the animation work just wasn’t there yet in the fisticuffs/moment to moment gameplay. second game is a pretty astonishing improvement despite also being on the ps3 and only coming out 2 years later, lotta extended gameplay sequences that feel dynamic and filmic.

And just so you know Naughty Dog has done a lot of games before that, like Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and even Crash bandicoot, which has an easter egg at the start of uncharted 4, just so you know

2025-02-18 20:38:35 +0000 UTCThe funny thing about this series is the word is, canonically Nate is extremely lucky, when Nate is about to die in gameplay, getting shot at, that’s not him getting shot, that’s him almost getting shot because people are missing and the screen going gray is his luck running out till eventually he does get shot and dies.

2025-02-18 18:55:17 +0000 UTCThe jump from game to game is astounding! Nontheless this game was actually ahead of its time despite being a bit outdated by today’s standards. Are you planning on doing the whole series then? Uncharted 2 is easily my favorite followed by 4 being a close second
