I consider myself a gamer or gaming enthusiast and I too found this and the last few PlayStation state of plays and conferences to be lacking too. I am happy that titles that would not usually get the screen time are getting it but I really think again this speaks to the fact that PlayStation is very much trying to coast through this disastrous gap in games this generation because Jim Ryan, the previous CEO, told all the studios that made Ghost, Horizon, Last of Us, God of War Spider-Man and so on to focus all their talents on Games as a Service rather than make more amazing narrative blockbusters. That has gone awful for them and lead to hundreds of millions of dollars in wasted development on games that are now cancelled. Don't quote me exactly but I think among all of PS First Party studios, Jim Ryan had 13 Live Service games greenlit with budgets of 100-400 million dollars or more and as of today I think all but 3 or 4 have been cancelled or shuttered. So they don't have the lineup they would have had and have lost so much money on the "Live Service" pipedream. In my opinion but also this is the reality of it and why they have shifted CEO's and upper management so ferociously

I think what got me more excited as a horror fan was the slient hill one. Its a very different air for the saga and its japanese horror so it hypes me up even more. The other ones too I also thought they were meh. I dont feel like any of them screamed GOTY like Clair Obscure for example

To give you an idea of where the best of vr is at I've played through resident evil 4, 7, and 8, the hitman trilogy, batman arkham shadow all were the full legit games. Everything you can do in the regular games works in vr

That's awesome to hear. My favourite was the origami one. Those games really hit me and it's probably because I want to make something like that. A hidden gem.
This is why I love conversations with you guys. How different we all are but we appreciate it regardless. βπ»

I understand the whole "gamers want the Ghost of Tsushimas, the God of Wars," but I guarantee you, there are hundreds of thousands if not millions of people that are more excited to play Final Fantasy Tactics again than anything else they showed in this State of Play. I love nearly everything they showed, I think it was the best showcase Playstation has had in years, but out of it all FFT is what I'm most anticipating

Yeah this presentation was more of a niche one.
I saw some reactions from people who knew or have been interested in some of the titles, and they loved it.
But if it wasn't your cup of tea it's also ok

I always enjoy watching these live. But if you ever see them do a βShowcaseβ Instead of a βSate Of playβ be sure you watch it because then it will be like huge game after huge game.
