General updates and Rent Control questions

Ok, so SoW2 with MiNT and he's committed to getting it to you this month (August), At long last, this insane adult strategy game will be ready to have a play with. MiNT is confident and he's been making steady progress.

We're simultaneously working on Company Man too. UI designs are done. Most of the NPCs are written (about a 1/3rd left to do). Right now, I'm migrating the design work into spreadsheets that will power the game. The immediate goal is to do a prototype of one NPC. This will be either Susan Granger OR Amber Baldwin, depending on Esclavage's bandwidth (Susan is her's, if not ready, we'll go w/Amber who is ready to go). I won't commit to when this proto will be ready but I do know MiNT wants to get it out around the same time as SoW2-- so maybe August.

Finally, there have been some questions regarding Rent Control-- what happened to it and did it ever get finished? Here's what happened. The game literally broke the platform. I no longer had a machine capable of editing the source file because of the memory reqs and had to ask for help in getting the final version out. I was also waiting on contributed content which didn't happen. It was the whole Rent Control drama that tipped the decision to move to Unity and work with an external designer. That said, the game is about 95% complete and you can have fun with it. Because of the existing obligations, I don't plan on re-visiting it at this time. I do think there is reasonable gameplay and I learned a LOT that is now finding it's way into CMan.
