Thanks to Admiral Thrawn, our doughty developer, we have some screenshots to share! He's built the system that will serve up all the game scenes and I've uploaded data for two NPCs-- Deb Jones and Britney Bower-- to populate the scenes (there are 34 female NPCs in all, each with unique interaction sets).
Just a note on the background and images:
1.) Yes, the NPC/background ratios need work (the NPC needs to 'fit' to the background w/better proportion so they don't look too huge or small)-- we'll fix that.
2.) The company locations are all complete-- there are 43 different backgrounds, depending on where a scene takes place. In addition, there are nine Player Office locations that represent Player career progression-- from a humble desk to an opulent office in the clouds.
3.) NPCs will have 4 classes of images, including Independent, Controlled, Trained and Reward. They represent dress codes that accord with their status vis a vis the Player. Reward images are specific to a particular scene.
As you might infer from the screenshots, each scene will be accessible from an Interaction Dash-- so you can choose to interact with the NPC assuming the right conditions/resource costs exists. Simple interactions will only require time (ie. 1 Turn of game time). Others will require NPC conditions (the level of her Ambition or Pride) or resources like Ego or cash, etc. The dynamic will be the same-- chipping away to reduce the NPC's Ambition (to control), then her Pride in order to Train her. There will be scene-specific dialogue and some interactions will contain RNG (though this is limited, transparent and straightforward). This is all the basic framework. On top of this, there will be goals to get promoted, control company departments and implement corporate policies as in the CR series.
There will be more locations that will feature in 'outside the office' encounters that will be accessible from the city map mode. There will also be trophies and image/video rewards for NPCs as well.
For now, we are working towards a playable prototype that will feature a small number of NPCs and locations and will build out from that.
