[Podcast] Cozy Corner Ep. 2 ~ Getting Back into the Swing of Things

Hey there and hi! So this month's episode I've gone ahead and implemented a few new changes that way the topics flow a little bit smoother into each other. Each segment ends with a little sound effect of a tape track being switched over, followed by music or spoken audio from whatever subject I'm talking about (for instance: playing a few seconds from a trailer of a movie). I've also thrown in a "SPOILER WARNING" if I ever get into something that is more than just surface level!

Anyway, I learned a lot from my first episode and I hope you enjoy all my technical and creative choices to make the podcast a fun one to listen to! 🎧✨

(Hope you guys love the small cameo by my cat who was pawing at my door as I was recording... it almost could be confused for like a serial killer trying to break in or something! Also I have a small correction to make: when I talk about the group Miichi I mistakenly say they are Japanese, however, they are an indie Korean band. Just wanted to throw that in there as I don't wanna give the wrong info! 😅)

Ahhh gotcha, gotcha! I'll definitely keep that in mind and be sure to toss out any new findings in future episodes of the podcast just in case they might help you out in your choreography needs! 🎶

That's so great to hear how it's just become a staple! And thanks so much for the feedback on my new additions and changes in format, as I really do wanna make it just a fun listen as well! Oh, and I haven't heard of that show before but I'll be sure to check it out as you all have some awesome taste and I don't wanna be missing out on quality entertainment! I'll also do the same when it comes to your song suggestions too! I really thank you and be sure to report back on my thoughts as well 🎧💕

Gentle Geek

Oh really?! 🤔 Hmmm... I might have to rethink it and actually give it some more thought on that industrial piercing after all! Thanks for the advice and personal experience!

Gentle Geek

Thank you for giving me that feedback on the changes I made to the podcast format. It really helps knowing what works and what is something I should focus to make it a better experience for the listeners! 🎧 And as for your suggestions, I'm gonna add it to the list of music tracks and artists to keep in mind and toss into my playlist rotation! 🎶 I really appreciate it!

ah when i asked for music, it is really to expand horizons and have options for choreography… which typically isn’t new stuff. i’m an obsessive listener so i will listen to a song like 300x before i move on but it’s hard to tell what’ll scratch the itch. thanks for recs!

Gentle!! Your podcast is quickly becoming something I look forward to for the month. I am loving the new changes you brought! It’s brings such a cozy vibe. Not sure if it’s your vibe, but a show I watched and loved recently was Hazbin Hotel. Such an entertaining show! I also have so many music recs, but not sure if you’d like them. An artist I’ve been in love with recently is Confetti. Their songs like Ghost and Balloons are my personal favorite and love to listen to them while I’m driving. I cannot wait for your next podcast and do absolutely love the length!!

Personally as someone with a bunch of tattoos and a bunch of piercings the industrial wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be but ofc naturally when it comes to tattoos or piercings they aren’t really that comfortable so you just have to do it 🤷🏽‍♀️if anything it’s just sore but after like a week or 2 you’re good just don’t play or mess with it 💋

I really like the new additions to the podcast, the transitions and added sounds! Really adds to the cozy vibe ✨ So many of my fav artists have released albums in 2023-24, so I've got like a million recommendations in mind😅 I'm not sure if these are exactly ur style, but "slip under the door" by glass beach, and "I Got Heaven" by Mannequin Pussy are really good! 💕

Happy you enjoyed the movie Gentle! 🫶🏻. I work at my local movie theater and would sneak in during my shift to see some bits here and there. If I can keep reccomending, another one I saw recently was Past Lives. I can't stop thinking about it since I've seen it, such a roller-coaster of emotions. I remember *trying* to play Final Fantasy VII on my brother's PS1, hearing you talk about it brought back memories! 🥰. Don't know if you like the genre but The Shivas and The Brian Jonestown Massacre are two bands that I've been listening to on a loop recently, they're indie/psychedelic rock ✨
