[Poll] Did ya happen to sub through the iOS Patreon App?

So Patreon is informing their creators that Apple will start implementing a fee for everyone who signs up using the app, and it's quite a substantial one too (I'm talking 30%). However, I don't wanna raise prices on any of the tiers since I've been very adamant about making my content affordable and accessible to as many folks as possible.
That said, I wanted to get a show of hands on just how many people sign up through the iOS Patreon app since the fee doesn't happen if ya sign up through the website.
I really do appreciate the information as it will help me decide future decisions just in case perhaps I might add an additional tier down the line or something for those who wanna help support or off-set some of the fees cause yeah, I'm not raising prices. You guys are amazing and i'm gonna make sure I can continue to offer what I do at the price I've set for as long as I can π

Exactly. Trillion dollar companies finding ways to nickel and dime their way to even more profits π And I wonder why it was hard to find on the patreon app! Good thing that it's easy to find with the URL just in case π But yes, signing up on through desktop will make it so that way your money won't go to apple and instead will go to the creator and also doesn't tack on fees to your subscription. I'll be talking more about it on the podcast so people can make the best choices for themselves, however, I'll be keeping prices the same for the foreseeable future for sure π₯°

2024-08-14 13:30:07 +0000 UTCAgh, I see Appleβs being Apple again π I subbed on desktopβ I was having trouble finding your Patreon page on the app itself, so I just went the easy route. But for everyday use, I use the IOS app (I hope that makes sense!). I assume Iβd be fine since I made the purchase on desktop though?
